A Student’s Guide to History (GCSE, A LEVEL, HAT).
From 19 £ /h
History is a challenging subject at both GCSE and A Level, both in terms of understanding and remembering the copious amounts of content as well as learning how to jump through the hoops of exam technique. This class is designed, by a former student who is now studying history at university, to assist in both obtaining the highest possible grade in history, but also to spread my passion for history and hopefully create a long lasting interest in my pupils.
I am also able to help with other items which I studied at A Level, namely Religious Studies and Economics. In addition to this, I can provide assistance with the Oxford HAT test as I scored highly in it despite not being accepted.

About Me
- I am a passionate historian, studying history at the University of Manchester, on track for a first class degree.
- I have a background in teaching, with 6 months tutoring children for the 11+ exam as well as 2 years teaching swimming.
- I enjoy all aspects of history, but I studied Early Modern at A Level and I am currently studying Modern China, Ancient Egypt and the Indian Independence Movement.
- I am academically strong, especially in history where I achieved a 9 at GCSE and 78/100 on the Oxford HAT (average accepted student achieved 70) however I let myself down at A Level by neglecting to follow rigorous exam structure. This motivates me to ensure that no other student makes the same mistake and can maximise their grade specifically at A Level
