About Me
My name is Giorgia and I come from Rome.
After years of high school in which I realized that I was not cut out for math, I decided to enroll at the university of Literature where I graduated with top marks.
My deep interest in language teaching also inspired me to become a language learner myself. I chose to study French and moved to Nice, France, where I attended a course at the Alliance Française for five months. Living abroad allowed me to immerse myself in a multicultural and international environment, broadening my perspective and introducing me to new ways of life.
As a learner, I also experienced firsthand the challenges of speaking a new language, which helped me understand the importance of focusing lessons on practical, real-life needs. Because of this, the classes I teach are always tailored to meet the concrete language goals and priorities of my students.

Education
My passion for teaching Italian as a foreign language began during my university studies at “La Sapienza” University of Rome. While completing my degree, I focused on topics related to language teaching and learning (glottodidactics), which sparked a growing interest in the field. This led me to develop an experimental thesis titled “Italian for Spanish Speakers: Observations and Analysis on Language Transfer in PLIDA Exams”, carried out in collaboration with the Dante Alighieri Society.
After graduating, I continued my studies and earned the CEDILS certification (Certificate in Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language) from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, with distinction. I also obtained official qualification as a CELI examiner.
I am currently continuing my training both as a teacher of Italian as a foreign language and as a teacher of Italian, history, and geography.
In the meantime, I teach Italian to foreigners at a local association in the city where I live.
