I am offering maths GCSE tutoring. I understand that maths is a subject which lots of people struggle with but is essential to pass in order to open up many future opportunities , therefore i think its important to dedicate time and effort into helping others achieve this goal.
In the past I have worked with the program get further which offers GCSE maths tutoring and I achieved an A* at maths GCSE and a C at Alevel, so i am well equipped to help you achieve the grade you want whether that be to simply pass or to attain one of the highest grades.
I know what it’s like to struggle with maths and how frustrating it can be at times but i believe that with enough time and patience anything is achievable. I will always be very patient, answer as many questions as necessary and go through endless examples until you feel confident in your understanding. I will focus lessons around what you want to learn and keep a close eye on how you work and what you know in order to tailor lessons around you to ensure you’re getting the most out of our time together.

History is a very interesting subject but can sometimes be difficult to achieve high grades in. This is often down to problems with essay writing skills rather than a lack of understanding of content. Once you have a clear understanding of what questions are asking and how best to answer them it becomes much easier to write successful essays.
Having studied history at GCSE and A level and gaining an A grade at both, I have a good understanding of what is required to do this. I will take time to go through essays with you pointing out which areas need improvement and which are going well. Once we have identified what you need to work on then I will work with you at your pace to help you figure out how to improve and then it is simply a case of repeating this until you are confident in your understanding.
With regard to content, the most difficult aspect to this is remembering all of it and remembering how different event relate to one another. In order to help with this we can do different exercises and games to help consolidate them in your memory and create links between them to create a timeline in your head.

Philosophy A level/ University Tutoring (online or in person)

I have studied Philosophy at A level and University and so I am in a good position to help students to understand content and then go onto use this understanding to write successful essays. Having done the A level (AQA) myself, gaining an A*, I know how the course works and what is required of students. Whilst philosophy is interesting, it can be a difficult subject to learn, therefore I aim to be patient with students as they get to grips with the content. Asking questions is key to properly understating philosophy so I allow plenty of opportunities for student to ask question and encourage that they do so. Philosophy also demands a high level of critical thinking in order to form the robust arguments that essays require, therefore this is certainly something that I aim to hone in any student I work with. Finally, being passionate about philosophy myself I will bring this attitude to all my lessons and hope so inspire the same passion in my students.
