IGCSE and IB Physics, Maths and Chemistry tutoring
From 26 £ /h
Tutoring for International Baccalaureate (IB) Maths AA HL/SL, Chemistry HL/SL, Physics HL/SL and for International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) International Mathematics (0607), Additional Mathematics (0606), Physics (0625) Chemistry (0620).
I aim to make sure students understand material intuitively first before delving into complicated questions and foster a friendly and patient learning environment. Instead of relying on memorising formulas, I teach students how to derive the formulas themselves, build upon their previous knowledge and use them to solve complex questions in a simple way, building their confidence in the process. To facilitate this, I use metaphors and every-day things to construct stories that help students remember concepts and relationships between them.
My lessons are tailored to each student's needs, preferences and learning style so I am able to accommodate specific requests. I can help students work on improving both overall understanding of the subject as well as detailed and thorough understanding of specific topics/sub-topics. As someone who sat these exams myself, I know what the most common mistakes in each topic are, the best exam techniques and have lots of tips, tricks and resources I can share!
I offer flexible scheduling, with availability during the day, early mornings, and late evenings for lessons online or in-person lessons near South Kensington. Please message me before booking so we can find a time that works for both of us!
If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact me :)

About Me
I am an IB grad (Physics HL 7, Chemistry HL 7, Maths AA HL 7) from the Czech Republic currently studying Physics at Imperial College London. I love physics, maths and chemistry and love sharing my passion for them even more! My lessons focus on helping students understand concepts intuitively and mastering the relevant terminology and equations as well as making physics, maths and chemistry more fun and engaging! I understand how frustrating and confusing these subjects can be, and therefore am very patient and use everyday things to explain complex phenomena through analogies and stories.
Education
I graduated from the International Baccalaureate Programme with 7s in HL Physics, HL Chemistry and HL Maths Analysis & Approaches. I also completed IGCSE, achieving A*s across the board.
I am currently studying Physics at Imperial College London, taking the Communicating Science module, a selective module preparing students to teach Physics to secondary school pupils.
