I will help you study and learn mathematics for A levels and GCSEs, and will also help you learn introductory topics at a degree level. I will help you by setting questions and assisting you in answering them, and working with you on areas of particular weakness. I am a mathematics graduate so am very confident and familiar with the content you'll need to be learning for any exams or fields. If you're doing something specialist, I will take the time (unpaid) to learn the topic before teaching it you. I am available 24/7 and will happily fit my schedule around that of my students.

About Me
I am a 22-year-old mathematics graduate looking to build up my CV before moving into teaching once completing my PGCE. I achieved A* at GCSE and A level for mathematics, and have been teaching friends and family basic maths for years. I'm very friendly and believe myself to be very understanding regarding mistakes, I understand different people grasp mathematics easier than others and do my best to be as accommodating for all talents.
Education
In both my GCSEs and A levels I earned an A*, specifically in A levels I took the C1, C2, C3 and C4, M1, and S1. I also took Further Maths modules M2, D1, D2, and FP1 to help further my grade. At university, I achieved a first-class degree doing my dissertation in four-dimensional complex numbers. I specialized in abstract pure mathematics but took modules in Discrete mathematics and Financial mathematics also.
Experience / Qualifications
I have experience teaching my sister A levels and GCSEs, my neighbors GCSEs, and have helped my friends at university study for finals.

Mathematics is a branch of study that deals with the logic of quantity, structure, and space. It involves using symbols and mathematical notation to represent and solve problems related to numbers, quantities, and shapes.
One of the most important aspects of mathematics is its emphasis on logical reasoning and problem-solving skills. Math requires careful analysis and critical thinking to identify patterns, formulate hypotheses, and test solutions.
Overall, mathematics is a fascinating and essential subject that is used in a wide range of fields, from science and engineering to finance and economics. Through diligent study and practice, anyone can develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in math and beyond.

I will be tutoring across all the standard British GCSE exam boards that include AQA, OCR and Edexcel.

As a math tutor for GCSE's, my primary goal would be to help students develop a strong foundation in math concepts and techniques, and to build their confidence in their ability to solve problems. Here are some ways I would go about achieving this goal:
1. Assessing student's current level of knowledge: Before starting any tutoring sessions, I would assess the student's current level of knowledge and identify any areas of weakness that need to be addressed.

2.Identifying learning style and adapting the teaching method: Every student learns differently, and it's important to identify their learning style and adapt the teaching method to suit their needs. Some students may benefit from visual aids such as diagrams or graphs, while others may prefer to work with concrete examples or through problem-solving activities.

3. Focusing on understanding, not just memorizing: It's important to focus on helping students understand math concepts, rather than just memorizing formulas and rules. This involves breaking down complex topics into simpler concepts, providing real-world examples, and encouraging students to ask questions.

4. Providing targeted instruction and practice: Once the areas of weakness have been identified, I would provide targeted instruction and practice to help students overcome any obstacles they may be facing. This may involve going over specific topics, providing additional examples or exercises, or working through past exam papers.

5. Encouraging regular practice: Consistent practice is key to success in math, so I would encourage students to practice regularly, both during tutoring sessions and on their own time. This may involve setting homework assignments or providing additional resources such as online practice exercises or video tutorials.

6.Providing feedback and encouragement: Finally, it's important to provide feedback and encouragement to help students stay motivated and on track. This may involve providing constructive feedback on completed work, highlighting areas of improvement, and celebrating successes and progress.

I run my lessons in 4 steps. Step 1 (content knowledge): I get to know how much the student already knows about the topic. Depending on their level of understanding I will go over crucial subject content and make sure to cover any knowledge gaps. Step 2: I go over practice questions with the student and give them tips on how to tackle the questions and how to answer effectively in order to obtain full marks. Step 3: I give students past paper questions to independently try them. I then mark them and go over any questions they got wrong. I then give them more questions that are similar to the questions they got wrong. Step 4: I quiz the students to make sure there’s no knowledge gap in the specific topic before moving on to a next topic.

My aim is to teach students just like the way I like to be taught. Making sure the environment is friendly so that the students can freely ask questions without being intimidated. I am very passionate about making sure that my teaching helps as many students as possible so that they can achieve the top grades.

I have previously taught 11+ students in a private tuition. Although I don’t have a broad work experience in teaching but being the eldest daughter I have always taught my younger siblings who both go to a grammar school. I have always helped my friends and classmates in school as well. I have always been a top achiever. I am also a medical applicant with a medical school offer. I can assure you that I will teach my students with complete hard work and dedication.
