Maths Code Breakers - Primary Teacher offering expert tuition
From 29 £ /h
Bring your best detective skills to Maths Code Breakers! We’ll focus on the area of maths you would like me to work on through a series of games, puzzles and challenges each week. It might be an escape room, a locked box or a treasure hunt. Following the children’s lead, I’ll steer them to develop their skills each week and then apply them to a code breaking challenge!
I pride myself on creating a fun, relaxed atmosphere where children feel comfortable to make mistakes and we can work together to find solutions.

About Me
Hi! I'm Bex!
I've been teaching in the Primary Classroom for the past 13 years and have been online teaching since 2017. I really enjoy the fast-paced progress of working with individuals and small groups and finding creative ways to teach new concepts.
I like to teach through a variety of creative mediums. Using interesting stimulus (film, music or art) and innovative ways to practice skills (puzzles, challenges or escape rooms) children remain fully engaged throughout the lessons.
If there is anything in particular you would like to request (private lesson, group lessons or alternative subjects) please do get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you!

I am a primary school teacher with 13 years of experience and have availability throughout the week for tutoring.
Classes are based around a short film which children watch as a stimulus. Each week, children will work on one plot point from this film. Using this as a prompt, they will be taught age-appropriate grammar skills and help 'word collect'. They will then go on to produce their own paragraph based on this plot point. over the course of a few sessions , children will have built up enough paragraphs to have created an entire narrative to be proud of!
