The way seeds are arranged in fruits, the stripes on tigers and zebras, the hexagonal shapes of honeycombs and snowflakes, and every night, the stars appear to revolve in circular arcs centred on the Pole Star...in mathematics we seek generalities. We’re unimpressed by one triangle whose angles add up to 180 degrees, but we find it striking that the same is true of any triangle. When seeking generalities, it helps to have a lot of examples because then you can compare and contrast and try to extract the essence of whatever it is you are seeking.

From “1 apple + 1 apple = 2 apples,” all the way to partial derivatives and multiple integrals, this course is designed for kids who are just encountering maths for the first time, for students studying A-levels, and for people who are thinking of going back to education and now find maths interesting. Mathematics is like an ocean, it can be scary and intimidating when the first wave hits you. But once you go in a little deeper and if you learn it properly, it can become peaceful. I would therefore like to help you develop your mathematical knowledge, in part through solving problems, evaluating outcomes, make and use connections between different parts of mathematics, model situations mathematically and express results using a range of formal mathematical representations. In studying maths, you will become a student of the universe and you will be able to peek into the deeper truths about reality.
Extra information
A pen and a paper will do just fine from basic maths to Calculus 2. A good internet connection for students intending to study online.

About Me
I relish the logical thinking in maths and I would therefore like to share my ways of studying, how to tackle a maths problem, both algebraic and geometric formalism and intuition, and as well as exam techniques.

I hope to connect with more people and influence students with my passion for maths and physics through teaching.
Education
After taking part in the robotics team in my high school, I went on to take advanced courses in biology, maths (Calculus 1 and 2), and physics; I graduated highschool in 2017. I am now studying for a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Mathematical Physics

Welcome to the GCSE Mathematics and Science class, where students embark on an exciting journey through the fundamental principles of mathematics and the captivating realms of science. This course is designed to equip students with the essential knowledge and skills required to excel in their GCSE examinations while fostering a deep appreciation for the wonders of mathematics and science in the world around us.

In the Mathematics component of this class, students will delve into the core concepts of algebra, geometry, statistics, and more. Through engaging lessons and interactive problem-solving activities, students will develop their mathematical fluency, problem-solving abilities, and critical thinking skills. Topics covered include equations, graphs, trigonometry, probability, and algebraic manipulation, among others. Emphasis will be placed on applying mathematical techniques to real-world scenarios, ensuring students understand the practical applications of mathematical concepts.

In the Science component, students will explore the three core disciplines: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Through hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and multimedia resources, students will investigate key scientific theories, principles, and phenomena. From the intricate workings of cells to the laws governing motion and energy, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the natural world and the scientific processes underlying it. Topics covered include genetics, atomic structure, forces, energy, and the environment, among others. Students will also develop their scientific inquiry skills, learning how to design experiments, analyze data, and draw evidence-based conclusions.

Throughout the course, students will be encouraged to actively participate in class discussions, collaborate with their peers, and seek support when needed. Regular assessments, quizzes, and homework assignments will provide students with opportunities to consolidate their learning and track their progress. Additionally, individualized support and enrichment activities will be available to ensure that each student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

By the end of this class, students will not only be well-prepared for their GCSE examinations but will also have developed a lifelong passion for mathematics and science, empowering them to navigate and contribute to an increasingly complex and dynamic world.

I have 10 years unbroken experience teaching Maths and social sciences to high school students. Since greater proportion of the students population at the colleges are struggling in their performance in maths, I am passionate about teaching maths only for now so as to help as much maths students as possible. I make my first tutorial class to develop rapport with a prospective maths student and to enable me identify the areas they need improvement in their performance. The first half of my tuition starts with the fundamental principles of mathematics, showing the students various clues and hints to use in answering maths questions. Special reference is made to acceptable standard marking scheme so the student can understand each topic better and develop more affection for solving mathematical problems. At the second half of my teaching, several examples are worked together with the student, ensuring that the student is fully engaged in the exercises, assimilating the concepts and contributing meaningfully. At the end of the second half of the tutorial, a lot of exercises are given to students as take-home assignments.

The submitted assignments are reviewed, scored before the next appointment and corrections made one-to-one with the student next tutorial session. The topics covered are not limited to the core concentration like algebra, trigonometry, calculus, statistics to mention a few, they extend to elementary maths. If the gap in understanding a topic is much, elementary maths is revised with the student prior to teaching any of the core maths topics.
