🎯 Grow fluent and confident in Spanish with lessons adapted to your goals, level and interests. Real-life use of the language is at the heart of my teaching, so in class we’ll speak Spanish as much as possible and focus on situations and topics that are useful and meaningful to you.

📚 I mostly work with textbooks, especially if you’re a complete beginner, but I also use materials connected to your interests to help you learn and practise everyday vocabulary and expressions. Here are some other ways we can work together: watching a TV series, reading a book or even writing it, making a podcast... If there is another way you want to work, let’s make it happen!

🧩 When we work on grammar, I’ll encourage you to reflect and notice patterns, so you can understand how Spanish works through guided discovery rather than simply memorising rules.

📝 If you’re preparing for the DELE exam, I’ll teach you strategies for each part of the test and we’ll focus especially on speaking and writing. We’ll practise with exam-style tasks and work on the areas you need to improve so you know what to expect and how to approach the exam with confidence.

🗓️ If you’d like to get a better idea of what a class with me is like, contact me to arrange a meeting for free! We’ll talk about your goals, how we can work towards them, and we’ll do a short activity together.

Hello!

I’m Ana, and I’m passionate about languages, thought, and culture.

I trained as a Spanish teacher for foreigners because I love learning but also teaching, and I’m currently studying Spanish philology. I’ve also studied psychology because I’m particularly interested in the relationship between language and thought.

I like to approach my classes as a unique space because every student is unique, so my classes don’t follow a rigid pattern. The sessions are tailored to your current level, your learning pace, your specific needs, and your personal or professional goals. Whether you’re starting from scratch, looking to become fluent enough to travel, or preparing for an official exam, we’ll design a plan exclusively for you.

To learn a language, it’s not enough to memorize rules; you have to use it. That’s why I use the communicative method, a dynamic approach that naturally integrates the four key skills needed to master Spanish:

• Speaking (Oral Expression): I’ll help you gain confidence and practice conversation in real, everyday Spanish. You’ll lose your fear of making mistakes from day one by talking about topics that interest you.
• Listening (Listening Comprehension): We’ll develop your ability to understand native speakers by training your ear with different accents, audio recordings, and real-life situations.
• Reading and Writing (Reading Comprehension and Written Expression): You’ll learn to process all kinds of written texts (news articles, emails, essays) and to write clearly and correctly, connecting your ideas naturally.

Focusing on communication doesn’t mean neglecting theory. Grammar and vocabulary are the fundamental pillars that will give you the structure you need to construct your own meaningful sentences right from the start. However, you won’t learn them by rote in a boring way: we’ll integrate them directly into practical contexts so you understand why and when they’re used.

My classes are a safe and engaging environment. I place special emphasis on constant interaction, which means you are the true focus of the class. Through role-playing, discussions, and interactive activities, you’ll actively use Spanish throughout the entire session. Plus, I love using adapted materials like movies or books to discuss topics that broaden our perspectives.

You’ll be surprised at how quickly you’ll start thinking in Spanish!

As a qualified teacher of Applied Foreign Languages with experience as a language assistant, I offer individualized instruction to help students progress without overwhelming them, in a relaxed and fun environment. I begin with a short oral Spanish test (also suitable for French as a Foreign Language) to assess the student's current level. I then tailor my lessons accordingly (grammar, pronunciation, comprehension, and expression), incorporating engaging activities (such as Kahoot quizzes). I typically assign exercises after lessons, regularly monitor progress, and conduct a comprehensive assessment every two weeks.
