Math and science don't have to be hard - they just need to be taught well.

My methods allow my students to truly understand how math and science laws work, and why they do. My experience as a tutor - as well as a student - have made me realize how a subject needs to be explained: in a logical manner. As I am still a university student, I can really put myself in my own student's shoes and set apart good teaching methods from poorer ones. Therefore, I break it down to a slow-paced step-by-step explanation, often using real-life examples - because those speak better to students than numbers. I can also provide guidance for studying methods I have perfected over the years.

I have been teaching and sharing my passion for math and science for over 4 years now, have mentored over 20 students and completed +600 hours at a private tutoring company I still work at!

I encourage my students to ask me questions and pay attention to their facial expressions to see if they really understand or if they're too shy to say no (like I once was myself)!

I teach math and science (physics & chemistry) from 1st grade all through the last year of high school.

My name is Oana, I am finishing my undergraduate degree in Engineering Physics. My strong suit is my passion for math and science, and I think my students really appreciate that about me. I love teaching those subjects and shine light on misunderstood notions. My forte is that I am truly able to put myself in the student's place and understand what concepts they have trouble grasping, even if they have a hard time explaining it to me. I am very flexible as I am able to explain in many different ways a subject so it can be understood. I love answering questions and clarifying concepts, and I can always tell when a student is not convinced with an explanation. I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have been giving private mathematics lessons daily for over ten years.

I offer private tutoring in Paris (at the student's home) or remotely (online). My online lessons take place on an interactive whiteboard. This whiteboard is specifically designed to facilitate student/teacher interaction online. Thanks to this teaching tool, my online lessons are just as effective as in-person lessons.
