ENGLISH / ECONOMICS / POLITICS TUITION FOR STUDENTS AND ADULTS
From 52 £ /h
Hello - I'm Tim, a recent graduate from Durham University and the University of Oxford. I'd love to help students make targeted improvements in their chosen areas.
My qualifications are as follows:
Distinction in MA International Relations from Durham University
2.1 in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford
A*s at A level in English Literature, Economics and Politics
A at A level in German
11 A*s at GCSE (Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, English Language, English Literature, History, Geography, German, Mathematics, Physics, Religious Education)
Additionally, I passed the 11+ entrance exams for Wilson's School, Wallington County Grammar School, and St. Olave's Grammar School.
I have experience tutoring students from primary school up to A level. I also have extensive experience teaching debating to students ranging from 8-18. This involved delivering workshops on both debating technique and content, before allowing students to put their learning into practice and providing extensive feedback on their speeches.
I like to identify where the most improvement can be made and target encouraging feedback towards those areas. Often I find it helpful to have students prepare material for each session so we can work through the answers and clarify any misunderstandings before applying the learning to new examples.
Please get in touch if you have any questions!
