After completing my BA Hons Primary Education degree in 2013, I have taught across Key Stage One and Two on a permanent basis. Meanwhile, I have gained experience in tutoring children from early years up to year 6 in a range of areas. From phonics to SATs preparation to 11+ entrance exams, I'll do my best to boost your child's confidence.

I believe that children should develop a love for learning and enjoy exploring the National Curriculum, within what should be a naturally creative environment. All children that I work with have commented on my `bubbly` and `fun` personality, thus making lessons enjoyable. I am known to sing and dance around the classroom whilst being caring and calm to those that need a more settled, black and white approach.

Key skills are developed in ways that are both traditional and contemporary. For example, learning the skills of addition through teacher led modelling and application before being reinforced through games.

Children should have a say in their learning journey to benefit both their understanding and experience of a topic. Communication with parents/carers and children is at the heart of my ethos.

I am passionate about working with children of all ages, ensuring that they make the progress which is perfect for their ability rather than the `age expected progress`. This might be too ambitious or not challenging enough, therefore lessons must be (and will be) customised for each individual.

Maths, Economics: I teach Mathematics and Economics to GCSE and A-level students.
Since this year there will not be any exams I would like to help students target their weakest areas and strengthen their overall and in depth understanding of those subjects. This will benefit them tremendously later on when the difficulty of the material increases and requires more profound understanding.
At times like this it can be a challenge to keep students mentally stimulated. At the same time due to the amount of time available it is a unique opportunity to greatly improve their knowledge and understanding before they move onto the next stage of their education.

Being a secondary school teacher in Hong Kong for six years, I have taught more than a thousand students. This experience enables me to diagnose the learning difficulties of students whose mother language is not English.

Apart from catering learning diversity, I also have a positive personality which can motivate students to learn. I do enjoy witnessing the growth of students, both academically and mentally.

Key to success in math is having a strong foundation of basics. We will first focus on the basics and then go hand in hand with school curriculum. We will also work on SAT exam related curriculum . Second most important is practice. Practice is the key to everything and so goes for math too. We will also focus on how to make use of math concepts in daily life .

Both in person and online tutoring available as required. Using an iPad Pro I am able to teach in real time and provide notes of the lessons as well as recordings if permitted. I offer exam preparation for the following: all Cambridge English exams including B1, B2, C1, C2. The IELTS exam, Trinity College SELTS exams, (UK visas, UK visa renewal, Indefinite Leave to Remain, British Citizenship). Lessons can be face-to- face on ONLINE via Zoom.

I also specialise in Business English, and have taught lots of people in banks, law firms, and investment companies over the years in The City. I am an experienced tutor who studied English at Oxford university (67), achieved 3 A*s at A Level, and 12 GCSEs grade 7-9 (A-A*).
