Class of history and international relations (in english, italian, french)
From 30 £ /h
I have been working professionally in the fields of history and international relations since 2010. I offer lessons in European history and the history of colonialism, with a focus on the modern and contemporary periods, tailored to different levels: secondary school students preparing for their final examinations, undergraduate students pursuing a BA in History, and advanced students undertaking MA or PhD studies.
My lessons are also open to history enthusiasts who wish to deepen their knowledge of these subjects.

About Me
In academia, my main field lies in the history of expansionism and colonialism. Until 2018 (and occasionally thereafter), working for the journal Eurostudium 3w of the former Department of History, Cultures, and Religions at La Sapienza (Prof. F. Gui), I studied the reception of the American Revolution in contemporary Roman newspapers.
From 2020 to 2023, with the HSE in Moscow, I studied aspects of Italian-Russian (or Russian-Italian, as you prefer) relations before the First World War, from the Italian perspective (Prof. K. Solovyev).
Since 2025, with Professor Elena Maslova (MGIMO and the European Institute in Moscow), I have continued to explore this topic from multiple perspectives.
In the corporate world, I have held various positions, with varying degrees of intellectual satisfaction (sometimes very low, sometimes the opposite), which have given me a good understanding of the mechanisms of cooperation between the Italian public administration and private enterprise.
I also run solo activities, mostly to try to bring humanities expertise to industrial sectors seemingly far removed from my field. I also enjoy organizing in-person scientific dissemination conferences; I think it's a good way to learn how to manage small or large sums on my own and demonstrate that scientists (including those in the humanities and social sciences) can be paid decently (I fear this last step will seem strange to my non-Italian contacts).
I have written and continue to write for Italian and Russian academic journals, and generally for anyone who allows me scientific freedom.
In addition to the above, I have held various other jobs, for obvious material needs and to learn something new and, no less importantly, to always have a choice and never depend too much on a single boss.
