I am a first class graduate of History and Politics at the University of Manchester, having received an A* at A-level in History. I have a passion for all things past tense, and that reflects in the enjoyment of past students' in my lessons. I have been tutoring History for 3 years during my time at university, and have decided to continue this now I have graduated. I have a great deal of experience helping students gain entry into some of Manchester's most competitive schools, such as Manchester Grammar, Withington High school and St Bedes. My favourite level to teach, however, is GCSE and A-level History, where I believe a tutor can go into a level of detail that is not covered in class, and allow for a greater quality of essay reflecting this deeper understanding of a period. This understanding is inevitably reflected in essays, in which I will also coach a structure of writing that is suited to both exams at the time, and help with a-level and university level further down the line.

Trusted teacher: I specialise in tutoring Historyfrom beginners to post-graduate level. I have been in academia for over 10 years and a private tutor for over 3 years. The tutoring method depends of the student's level and will always be tailored to each individual student. For S5 to undergraduate level for instance, I will use your current knowledge and understanding and help you develop further skills such as writing coherent and convincing narratives using either chronology or themes (depending on your level of study and confidence), your skill in an oral presentation will also be developed using question/answer method. My aim is to support student's learning and understanding.

I specialise in tutoring English and history for school and adults too. I teach geography too. After finishing a lesson I usually let the students to teach me what they have learnt. If they cannot or have any confusion about the topic, it becomes very easier to find out eventually. Then I repeat the lesson until they have got clear concept about the topic. After a few days, both of us go through the topic again together. In this way, students usually do not easily forget their topic and they also can have a better understanding of the chapter.
