About Me

A crazy teacher for crazy students !

I am a French student from Toulouse and I'm spending one year in Glasgow. I could just stay and take my classes at the UofG but if I could spend some time with glaswegian people and help them with their language skill, it would be all the better !

- I am deeply interested in learning from this whole new world ( I have been to Glasgow for only one month so far ) !

- Discovering new personalities, and helping them is a real dedication since I' m planning on becoming a teacher in France. I come from a family eager to travel and migrate ( West Indies / Algeria / Torino / Sidney ) and I expect to learn from you as much as you will learn from me.

- I am a patient person but I won't hesitate to be tough if I consider that your part of the contract is not respected : this is my policy.

I lived for almost 15 years in Paris (in a French family) and defended my doctoral thesis in philology and literature at the Sorbonne University.
French became my first professional language and second native language.

Passionate about the French language, I would like to share my experiences and teach you this beautiful language:

Student in an engineering school in France, I come to do my last year in exchange in Glasgow. Having already taught mathematics for private lessons, I will be able to adapt to your learning needs.
Having learned English (level C1), Spanish (level B2 in writing, C1 in oral) and having notions of Portuguese, I am used to working languages and have a good knowledge of effective methods.

I am a fully qualified teacher of modern languages. I am a French native speaker and I am also fluent in Spanish. I have worked in different schools in Scotland. I also teach French to adults in private language centres and I also teach French in the Higher Education sector.

I have good experience in working in secondary schools. have prepared successfully some of my students for the DELF exams (Delf B1/Delf B2) and national exams (National 5 and higher) in French and in Spanish.

My lessons are tailored-made. I usually set up a progression with the students during the first lesson and I also provide them with some materials.

I assign homework weekly to assess the students learning skills and periodic progress reports monthly to see the students learning growth. I have a wealth of experience tutoring a wide range of people of all levels, from beginners to university students. I therefore possess a thorough understanding of the learning process and the specific difficulties students can face. Consequently, I have developed efficient methods of overcoming these on an individual basis. In my tutorials, I believe learning is most effective when it happens in a relaxed and comfortable environment.
