About Me

Hi!
I'm a 21 years old french last year student at the École Polytechnique of Paris, the top french engineering university. I'm in Oxford untill September 2023 as a visiting student in the Atom Photon Connection research group at the University of Oxford.
I now have been giving maths and physics lectures and tutorials for three years to help french students prepare their entrance exams to top french engineering universities. I want to continue doing so here the UK because I like giving lectures and want to pursue a career in academics. Furthermore, I think that being young helps have a better contact with my students and so a better teaching!

Education

Third year student at the Ecole Polytechnique of Paris. Major in physics and minor in mathematics. GPA:3.87. Before getting to this university, I spent two years in preparatory classes, preparing the entrance exams to top engineering french schools. The major was maths and minor physics. I am now a visiting student in a physics research group at the University of Oxford.
I have been accepted to ETH Zurich to start a physics masters's degree next year.

Alternatively, if a student wishes to explore a topic more deeply, then I am more than happy to assist them in this.

Math and physics seem to be abstract, complicated and boring. However, if the hidden patterns and connections of these subjects are found, you can discover a whole new world of amazement, perspectives, and understanding, as well as a huge boost in exam scores!

Do you know that gravity and electrical voltage actually behave in the same way? Can you believe that cosines and sines can be expressed using exponentials? How can you prove the Pythagorean theorem, but using physics concepts instead of math? My job is to explain these seemingly unrelated things jumping out of nowhere, but in a logical, but more importantly, understandable and engaging approach.

Not only did I achieve all A* on IGCSE and 44/45 on IB, but I also tutored previous students on A Level, IGCSE, and IB past papers of the last 10 years. I know everything about the exam papers. In review classes, I'll go through knowledge concepts in a way that aligns with exam questions and I'll explain past paper example questions patiently until you completely understand them.

We will go over the content first followed by one to two exam questions. Homework will be more questions for active recall. I will mark all your homework before our lesson and we will go over everything that was challenging.

At the end of a topic, we will go over mock exams and keep them fresh in our minds (spaced repetition). I can also assist in university choices, applications and advice. I'd also recommend reading the book mentioned above, too!
