My teacher's credo

As an opera singer, I have had the opportunity to perform on international stages while continuing to teach, which is a true vocation for me.

In vocal pedagogy, I believe that each student is the bearer of a unique instrument: their voice. This is why it is essential to adapt teaching and methodological tools to the individuality of each student. This approach allows me to conduct my classes in a variety of ways, choosing the most relevant vocal exercises or repertoire pieces to reveal the individual potential of each voice.

My technique is based on:

* in-depth breathing exercises,
* awareness of the whole body as an instrument,
* understanding the biological principles of breathing and its artistic role,
* the development of a free and resonant vocal emission.

My main objectives are to:

* maintain a feeling of high vocal position, awareness of resonant cavities in singing,
* work on the purity and continuity of vowels (legato), work on diction (Italian, German, French, etc.)
* gradually develop the tessitura,
* harmonize and balance the different vocal registers.

Finally, I place great importance on the student's personal development. Building a voice also means supporting an artistic personality: this involves guiding each student toward a repertoire adapted to their stage of vocal development, while nurturing their sensitivity and self-confidence.

Passionate about music offers an initiation or a deepening in music (music theory, piano or singing). My goal is to be as attentive as possible to your expectations and I will be quite capable of adapting.
Having played the piano since I was 6 years old, I acquired a very good level of music theory and subsequently found fun methods for this learning which may seem boring but remains necessary. The goal is to help with motivation and confidence! Learning music theory can be for all instruments. Indeed, I know the three types of keys (treble, bass, and C) depending on the instruments.
I am also a member of a musical comedy troupe with which we have put on 10 shows with live music. So I also have a lot of experience singing and playing piano in front of an audience.
I also passed the Music option of the baccalaureate and could therefore also teach you the techniques of comparative listening or instruct you on a work or a genre of music that interests you.
Feel free to contact me for more information !

Fundamental Thought:
ANYONE CAN LEARN TO SING!
It's important to know this!
The singing voice is part of our human capabilities, it's just not taught in our culture, but EVERYONE can learn!

FOR WHOM:
This course is for anyone who wants to learn to sing, speak in public, or improve their speaking voice.
Children, teenagers, and adults alike, there's no age limit to start learning ;)
Whether you are a complete beginner (and wish to develop a healthy and solid foundation) or an intermediate (to continue to evolve and develop your technique) this is the right place for you and I would be delighted to accompany you on this exciting journey towards the singing voice!

MINDSET:
- First of all, we always work with gentleness, kindness and joy ; )
Singing is a very intimate act, which puts us in a form of vulnerability, so it is essential to work with confidence to feel free to experiment, to make mistakes and to evolve healthily.
The goal is to develop technically and artistically, at your own pace, and with joy!
- It's important to be kind to yourself: learning vocal technique can take time; it requires patience, perseverance, and confidence to see results ;)

POSITIONING:
My teaching method is simple: find what works for you, in relation to your goals and what challenges you.
I constantly adapt my approach and exercises to the student I have in front of me.
We always start from what the body can do (the spoken voice) to take it towards the singing voice.
We never work by force or against the body's natural processes: we always strive for a healthy vocal technique, free from tension and pain ;)

PROCEDURE:
During the first lesson, we will start by taking stock of the situation, seeing what is already in place and what needs to be worked on.
Afterwards :
- Vocal preparation (warm-up),
- Technical exercises (to progress towards the defined objectives),
- Work on the song of your choice (to put it into practice).

*///*NEW: MONTHLY GROUP WORKSHOPS*///*
What is this ?

- A workshop ONCE A MONTH on a weekend (in principle)
- In small groups (5 to 8 people)

How does it work?

A short group warm-up.
You play a song excerpt.
The group and I provide constructive feedback.
You experience a mini individual coaching session (but with the group as an audience and support for objective feedback).
Once all the individual coaching sessions are finished, everyone plays their song a second time and we observe everyone's progress :)

With the following objectives:
- To meet interesting people (other private tutoring students).
- To experience a moment together, in a caring and educational environment.
- Discovering the stage and learning how to inhabit it in front of an audience (posture, attitude, energy, grounding, self-confidence, etc.)
- To work on one's interpretation beyond technique.
- To face the gaze of others.
- Overcoming shyness and fear of judgment.
- To receive feedback from outside sources, other than family or friends, in an educational setting.
- Learn from others and be a learning support for others.

The idea is that everyone learns from each other during this moment of sharing! Pretty awesome, right?!

I hope you will be as excited as I am about doing these Group Workshops!

Terms and conditions
- One session per month (3 hours) if enough people register.
- Between 5 and 8 participants.
- No commitment: you can come once on a one-off basis or every time.
- Open: you can bring a friend who would like to discover singing, try their hand at performing on stage or test my teaching approach.
- Booking required (Place due if cancelled less than 48 hours before the event).

*///*Piano Lessons (Accompaniment)*///*

For those who wish, I also offer lessons on piano accompaniment for singing.
You'll discover the basics of piano and chords (international notation, so no music theory) so you can (eventually) accompany yourself on any song in the world just by reading a chord chart! And that's pretty cool, isn't it? ;)

If you have any questions about the courses, teaching methods, or anything else, feel free to send me a message ;)

Looking forward to working together!

*///*NEW: MONTHLY GROUP WORKSHOPS*///*

*///*Piano Lessons (Accompaniment)*///*

Does your child love to sing and want to develop their voice, gain confidence or improve their technique? Do you want to start singing yourself or improve your skills?

I offer private singing and vocal technique lessons, fully personalized according to the level and objectives of each student, whether beginner, amateur or already experienced.

Each course is structured in three parts:

1. Physical and vocal warm-up
Body relaxation, diaphragm placement, breathing exercises, posture and grounding, to prepare the voice and avoid any tension.

2. Vocal Technique
Exercises adapted to the student's level: breath control, voice placement, accuracy, articulation, resonance, power without straining.

3. Application to a piece
Putting the technique into practice on a song chosen by the student (or suggested) to work on interpretation and enjoy singing.

The styles are open: pop, variety, French chanson, lyrical... according to desires.

In addition, I offer the basics of music theory and piano for students who wish to learn to read sheet music or accompany themselves while singing.
