Nice to meet you!

I am Julie, a private piano teacher since 2019 for beginners to cycle II.
Currently I have 12 students, adults, teenagers and children from 4 years old!

My goal is for my students to learn the piano while having fun, so that they become independent over time and can enjoy playing what they like.
This is why I listen to everyone's tastes, while opening doors to registers that might not be those immediately thought of (classical, jazz, singing accompaniment, etc.).
Also, music theory is a key point of learning that cannot be ignored if you want to progress. But knowing that it can scare more than one, I would like to point out that I do this in a very fun way by adapting to the level of capacity and age of each person: this therefore involves pieces, songs, and for the youngest, games that I make myself (memory, tables, human-sized mats, card games, writing, etc.). This allows us to suit everyone, and learning through all the senses (writing, listening, movement, memorization, etc.) is, in my opinion, a very relevant means.

If the student likes singing, I also offer singing lessons and I teach them how to accompany themselves, so that they can ultimately accompany themselves on all the songs and have a lot of fun.
My lessons last 1 hour, whether the student is an adult or a child. I can possibly teach at my home if necessary, but I usually go to the student's home.

Also, the piano is a rather solo instrument. But loving sharing and conviviality, I offer in addition to solo pieces, pieces in 4 hands between students by level (which is in my opinion very beneficial from a technical and learning point of view).
Finally, 2 auditions per year are planned in a nice room that I reserve with a beautiful grand piano, during which the students sing and play their solo and 4-hand pieces in front of their loved ones. These moments are really friendly and without pressure or expectations from me: snacks, music, laughter and sharing are in the spotlight.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate!

See you soon, I hope :)

Julie

About Me
Nice to meet you! I am Julie, a piano teacher and also delighted to support children in their academic journey from kindergarten to high school.

I advocate kindness and am very educational in my educational practices, whether for music (piano, singing, music theory) or academic support (French and maths in particular, or the development of children in difficulty if they are in kindergarten).
I am very involved and invested on a daily basis for children's rights and their well-being, whether social, academic or personal. Very interested in child psychology, I ensure their development and that, every day, they gain self-confidence and develop their autonomy.

With a master's degree in marketing, I have been a piano teacher at home since 2019 for beginners to cycle II in addition to my job. I wanted more since September 2024 to devote myself entirely to the transmission of my passion and therefore have to date 12 students, adults, teenagers and children from 4 years old!

Nice to meet you! I'm Julie, and I hope your child's future teacher :)

I give private lessons at home or online, particularly in maths and French, or for homework help; for children in primary, middle or high school.
I also offer workshops tailored to your child's needs at that moment, which can help us look at other, more general school issues (work methods, help with concentration, help with personal problems in the school environment, etc.) and find together how to overcome them so that your child gradually becomes more assured, confident and fulfilled.
For nursery and primary school children, I also offer fun and personalized workshops for their development in the event of a blockage in one or more areas.

With a master's degree in marketing, I have been a piano teacher at home since 2019 for beginners to cycle II in addition to my job. I wanted more since September 2024 to devote myself entirely to the transmission of my passion and therefore have to date 12 students, adults, teenagers and children from 4 years old!
Also, I help children with learning difficulties in a REP college via an association, where each student has personalized monitoring based on their skills and needs.

Please know that I advocate kindness above all, and that I am very educational in my educational practices, whether for music (piano, singing, music theory) or academic support.
I am very involved and invested on a daily basis for children's rights and their well-being, whether social, academic or personal. Very interested in child psychology, I ensure their development and that, every day, they gain self-confidence and develop their autonomy.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me! I will be happy to answer them.

See you soon, I hope !

Learning music, is directly connected to the cognition system of our mind, and our cognition is the first step to perceiving the music, so it is essential to understand music and perform it.
I am proposing classes in Piano, Composition, and Music Theory and writings.
In the class of Piano depending on the student's wishes, we work on different methods, from learning music just as an activity to students who wish to continue their profession as a musician.
The class of composition has the same algorithm as the piano class, the method selection is based on the student's wishes.
Music Theory is proposed in both classes of composition and piano on the side but for the students who wish to learn music theory separately with more concentration, I offer this class as a separate class too.
Class of Harmony and Writing actually has the same situation as music theory classes but students in the course of composition will be more specialized in harmony and counterpoint than piano students and of course, this course is proposed as a separate class too.

My goal is to ensure that the student, whatever their age or musical level, learns not only to play and master their instrument but also to have fun even in the technical learning phase.

The working methods revolve around knowledge of the instrument, technique, style, musicality but can also occasionally focus on historical contextualization if the student wishes to approach this approach.

The repertoire offers endless avenues of work and great musical discoveries!

------------------
- My students' opinions - (translated in English)

"My daughter Louane (10 years old) has been taking piano lessons with Daniel for 8 months now, and the progress she's made is incredible. She really enjoys playing, and it shows in her motivation and consistency. What we particularly appreciate is Daniel's gentleness and kindness, as well as his teaching style, which is very child-friendly.
Louane can choose the pieces she likes, which makes her even more involved, and music theory is naturally integrated into the learning process. It's an approach that's both fun and effective. Thank you for your patience and your infectious passion!" - Nathalie C.

"Excellent teacher, excellent teaching style! My son has progressed much more this year than in previous years. Daniel is patient and adapts to his student's needs. I recommend him 100%." - François M.

"After playing the piano for 4 years and then stopping for 21, I decided to take piano lessons with Daniel since August 2024. I quickly noticed progress and I recommend him for his professionalism, kindness, and friendliness.
I also appreciate being able to choose the pieces I want to learn." - Marjolaine.

Pianist for over 12 years, I help beginner and intermediate students to progress on the piano and enjoy playing their favorite pieces.

. Music styles:

- Pop/contemporary music (Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Imagine Dragons, Yiruma, Yann Tiersen, Ludovico Einaudi, etc.)
- Classical music (Bach, Chopin, Beethoven, etc.)
- Film music (La La Land, Titanic, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc.)
- French pop music (Francis Cabrel, Jean-Jacque Goldman, etc.)

. My teaching method:

- Beginner level: my work is based on the book "J'apprends le piano tout simplement" by Christophe Astié, a simple and progressive method for learning the basics of piano (reading sheet music, music theory, playing with two hands, chords, etc.). Once some basic skills have been acquired, we can begin to learn the pieces you wish for.

- Intermediate level: Instruction is personalized based on the pieces you wish to learn. I will guide you through reading sheet music, interpreting the piece, and improving your technique, while providing you with tailored theoretical knowledge. The goal is to enable you to play your favorite pieces with fluidity and confidence.

. Location: At home (Antony and surrounding areas - Nanterre and surrounding areas)

. Limited availability:
I still have a few slots available for Saturday afternoons and Sundays.

See you soon at the piano!

I teach piano to children from the age of 5 as well as to adults, for beginner and intermediate levels. I make sure to offer personalized teaching to each of my students, adapting to their needs and helping them achieve their goals. Patient and attentive, I create a motivating environment that encourages progress.

I teach in five languages: Lithuanian, Russian, English, German and French.

I have three years of experience in teaching piano. I also worked at the music school "MariArs" and now I am a piano teacher in Paris. I always strive to acquire new knowledge by participating in various masterclasses such as the Piano Pic festival in Bagnères de Bigorre.
