But knowing that it can scare more than one, I would like to point out that I do this in a very fun way by adapting to the level of capacity and age of each person: this therefore involves pieces, songs, and for the youngest, games that I make myself (memory, tables, human-sized mats, card games, writing, etc.). This allows us to suit everyone, and learning through all the senses (writing, listening, movement, memorization, etc.) is, in my opinion, a very relevant means.
If the student likes singing, I also offer singing lessons and I teach them how to accompany themselves, so that they can ultimately accompany themselves on all the songs and have a lot of fun.
My lessons last 1 hour, whether the student is an adult or a child. I can possibly teach at my home if necessary, but I usually go to the student's home.
Also, loving sharing and conviviality, I offer in addition to solo pieces, pieces in 4 hands between students by level (which is in my opinion very beneficial from a technical and learning point of view).
Finally, 2 auditions per year are planned in a pretty room that I reserve with a beautiful grand piano, during which the students sing and play their solo and 4-hand pieces in front of their loved ones. These moments are really friendly and without pressure or expectations from me: snacks, music, laughter and sharing are in the spotlight.
