I specialize in teaching English as a Foreign Language. I have taught in NYC; Hartford, CT; Costa Rica, and Palestine. I am TESOL certified and got my BA in Language education. I prefer to give lessons based on personal interests/needs, and to use real-world materials, rather than textbooks. If you would like to be given homework and resources for self-study, I am happy to oblige. But I am able to give more casual, low-stress lessons as well.

About Me
Hi! I'm an English teacher currently au pairing in Chatou (an hour north of Paris). I love language, I love teaching, and I love meeting new people!
I grew up in the US, and I have taught English in Costa Rica, in Connecticut, in NYC, and in Palestine. Spoken language fascinates me, and I appreciate the amount of nuance to be found in slang and informal speech. However, my knowledge of grammar and syntax runs quite deep, so if learning business English is your goal, I'm happy to oblige. I'm also happy to teach groups if you'd like to learn with friends/colleagues.
My passions include music, rock climbing, and travelling. I like to dive into new experiences and challenge myself to adopt new ideas and practices. I love the outdoors, I love big cities -- Mostly I just love the world and living in all its absurdity.
Let me know if you'd like an English lesson!
