About Me
I was born in Blackburn, Lancashire and had a long involvement with Blackburn Cathedral where I was a chorister and ultimately head chorister of the Boys’ Choir. I was later appointed a Choral Scholar in the Gentleman’s Choir and, later, one of the tenor choral scholars at St George’s, Beckenham.
I have recently completed his undergraduate degree in Music at Goldsmiths, University of London, receiving a first class degree, and have just begun a Composition Master’s degree there which will be completed in September 2020.
I am a singer, composer, conductor, and researcher with interests in New Complexity, system-based composition, the music of the 'La contenance angloise' school and music & dance. I have recently completed a research paper on musical quotation in New Complexity, as well as having performances and recordings of his music within London.
Currently, I am collaborating with a solo dancer for a piece to be premiered in 2020.
Outside of music, I have interests in aviation, cooking, travel, and football – a life-long fan of Blackburn Rovers!
