History, English, Test Prep for GCSEs and A Levels

I specialise in English and history Tutoring based in England which includes GCSEs and A-Levels. I tend to teach eras specific to each students needs and tailor it to their ability and push them beyond their comfort zone. I want to challenge my students who really want to learn but not so much that they feel overwhelmed. A guide is necessary for history when you are trying to learn it as it does because very compact. I will try to ease such tensions and ensure that students will learn in a structured and nurturing environment.

Lewis
Cambridge Graduate offering bespoke History, Politics, and English tuition.
Overview: I offer bespoke tutoring services to school pupils and individuals studying History, Politics, and English. With a background in History and experience in the teaching and media sectors, I provide a professional, insightful, and comprehensive service aimed at improving a client's understanding of a topic, their confidence within it, and targeting specific issues and skills as required. I also provide advice on university selection and applications, building on experience as an applicant myself and coach for successful applicants to highly selective universities (including Oxford, St Andrews, and UCL). Teaching methodology: I believe that the best way to teach is to communicate, work out the student's needs with them, and proceed from there. We live in a diverse world, and it's important to reflect that diversity in teaching. I believe in using a variety of sources to help teach, ranging from films, to books, to music clips. This is particularly important in the context of clients with LS needs, as a focus on one kind of source can impact the pupil's experience, and hinder their success. My lessons are based on a core Learning Objective, changing from lesson to lesson with the curriculum. Around that, there will be a series of case studies, examples, and anecdotes, with personalised support for exam answers if required. Half the battle with the humanities is ensuring that good ideas are communicated well- I seek to teach history and support the development of those communication skills to ensure that the pupil's ability is reflected.

Political Science is the study of the nature, causes, and consequences of collective decisions and actions taken by groups of people embedded in cultures and institutions that structure power and authority. Isabella
Online History tutoring for GCSE and A Level Students
I have recently finished my 2nd year at University of Southampton studying Ancient History and History where I have achieved a constant 2:1. I will give lessons to students, especially those doing their GCSE`s and A Levels whom are struggling. It can be lessons in History and even Classics since I have studied many different Classics texts during my Ancient History modules. My teaching method is taking apart exam questions and talk through with the person what the question is expecting of them and what to write for it. I will also go through different revision methods to find out which one is best for the student, while working with the students' teachers on how to add to what they have been doing at school. I pride myself on my patience with students by letting them go at a speed they feel comfortable with and finding the key resources that will help them achieve their best. You will learn how to write good essays and how to interpret sources the correct way without simply copying the information from the source.

US History- private lessons in analysis, essay writing and exam prep
I have deeply enjoyed US History since high school, where I received top marks, through university to the present, where I still read and learn history on a regular basis. I am most familiar with mainland history from US Independence to the present day, however am always trying to improve my knowledge about Native American history, and the territories. I have also studied extensively the impact of the US on the wider world and it's relations with the global community. I believe it is important to teach history from a wide variety of perspectives. In recent years, I have particularly tried to focus on history retold from the perspective of those left out of the traditional view, which is really just anyone who isn't a white, upper-class, European male. This broader and more complex view of history leads to a more nuanced understanding of the past, particularly from a social perspective.
