Individual classes to help students gain in confidence and develop skills in both acting and public speaking.I believe we do our best work when we are feeling relaxed and focused. I have taught at many drama school including lAMDA, Arts Ed, CSSD, ICTheatre, Guildford School of Acting. Bristol Old Vic, London Centre for Theatre Studies. I am Currently Deputy Course Leader for Performers College Brighton as part of the time leading on the Performing Arts BA(Hons) Degree professional training programme in Acting and Musical Theatre.

I have particular strengths in text and character analysis and acting techniques to unlock character choices. Voice work. Audition prep, Drama School application prep and advice.

I have passion for classic texts having appeared in over 8 productions with the RSC.

Lessons can be from 1 hour - 2 hours
Advanced DBS checked.
Extra information
It will be useful to have a way of taking notes for both online and in person lessons.
Other than that...just some curiosity and interest about the craft of acting and public speaking!

About Me
Phil started his professional working life as a Registered Mental Health Nurse, graduating from Portsmouth University in 1994. He continued to work in this field whilst he trained as a professional actor in 2000 and until he joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2009. As an actor he has worked extensively both nationally and internationally with many of the worlds top companies including 9 productions with the RSC, as well as work with the National Theatre, Royal Court, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Lincoln Centre NYC and the prestigious performing arts festival Festival D’Avignon. Since 2010 he worked as an acting teacher and director and has been both Head of Acting and Deputy Course Leader for ICTheatre now Performers College Brighton ) Brighton.

- Dip He in mental Health Studies/RMN -Portsmouth University (1994)
- Post grad 1 year professional Actor Training (2001)- The London Centre for Theatre Studies/The Actors company.
