I am a chemistry graduate student from the American University of Beirut. I have taught students in several chemistry and biology fields. I am passionate about improving student's levels, especially whom they are not interested in chemistry and biology or won't give them a chance. I think I'm a patient person who can fit this challenge.
Currently, I am an international student at Charles university first faculty of medicine.

So you have a goal, a treasured dream? Perhaps you'd love to work in science, tech, engineering or maths? But your chemistry is letting you down?

I'm a coach and tutor who loves to help individuals achieve their learning and life goals. I've helped my clients qualify for their chosen career paths – in dentistry, physiotherapy and chemistry. I tutor chemistry at iGCSE, IB level and A level – drawing on my background as a medical / science journalist and as an Oxford University chemist.

Chemistry is the study of electrons – and who gets to see one of those in everyday life? Perhaps that's why chemistry remains a mystery for many.

There are 11 basic ideas of chemistry you must master up to age 18 – and it's really common to get the wrong idea about one or more of these.

A big part of my job is to uncover the sources of your confusions, helping you understand clearly at a gut level – then you will naturally remember whatever you need on exam day.

My job is to turn the abstract into something you can see, hear, touch and even smell – and give you space to think out loud and explore and be curious.

Often we will start with real exam questions, and work back through the concepts ... fitting them together like lego bricks... this way you will safely arrive at the correct answers. This is the kind of deep learning that stays with you for years to come and you can trust in the examination hall, no matter how nervous you feel.

So write and tell me –
1. what is your goal and why is it important to you?
2. What exam course are you doing?
3. What obstacle do you need help overcoming?

I am an experienced university teacher in chemistry, biochemistry and biology. I make chemistry, biochemistry and biology lessons for high school and university students (graduate and post graduate level) tailored on students needs, especially in the fields of inorganic chemistry, nuclear-/radiochemistry, analytical chemistry, basics in physical and organic chemistry, environmental chemistry, soil chemistry, cell chemistry/cell biology, basics in microbiology, human anatomy and physiology.

The specific topics within chemistry can be e.g. Atoms, Molecules, and Ions, Stoichiometry, Chemical Reactions and Solution Stoichiometry, Gases, Thermochemistry, Atomic Structure and Periodicity, Bonding: General Concepts, Covalent Bonding: Orbitals, Liquids and Solids, Properties of Solutions, Chemical Kinetics, Chemical Equilibrium, Acids and Bases, Acid-Base Equilibria, Solubility and Complex Ion Equilibria, Spontaneity, Entropy, and Free Energy, Electrochemistry, Radiochemistry: radiation types, actinides, isotopes etc., Transition Metals and Coordination Chemistry, Organic and Biological Molecules.

The topics for biochemistry tutoring can cover e.g. Eukaryotic cell structure, DNA and RNA structure, Proteins structure and translation, DNA replication, RNA: Transcription, Biotechnology: Recombinant DNA, Gene expression, Enzymes: Kinetics, Biological membranes: Structure, Receptors.

For microbiology tutoring for example following topics can be taught: Types of microorganisms, Staining, Prokaryotic cells, Prokaryotic diversity, Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, Habitats, Microbiomes, Archaea, Isolation of bacteria and fungi, Microbial growth, Environmental microbiology.

Human anatomy and physiology e.g.: Structure of cell, Cell growth and division, Cellular differentiation, Tissues (Epithelial, Connective, Muscle, Nervous), Nervous system (e.g. action potential, receptors, ganglia), Cardiovascular system, Respiratory system, Digestive system and metabolism, Urinary system, Lymphatic and Immune system.

Here's some information about me :)

I have a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Helsinki (Finland) and I am experienced in teaching high school and university students (both at the Bachelor's and Master's levels as an adjunct professor). In addition to the tutoring, I revise study essays, lab reports etc. as well.

Please, feel free to contact me specifying the topics/fields of chemistry/biology that you are looking tutoring for, and we can discuss the study plan then further.
