About Me

Hello. I’m a pro singer, actress and choir leader, with 17 years of teaching experience. I teach a blend of classical (bel canto) and speech level technique, used by Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera, and many others.

I have worked with singers of all ages and abilities and I would ideally like to help people who have ADHD, autism or some form of disability. Also, if you are a bit older and you want to learn a new skill I can help you. But even if you don’t fall into those categories, please get in touch and we’ll see what we can do together.

Jazz/pop singing technique for beginners to experienced singers who would like to improve their performance ability.

Technique and presentation classes tailored to jazz, pop or musical theatre singing. Emphasis is on projection, lyric interpretation and performance skills. Based on Bel Canto and Speech Level. Can be done in person or via Skype. Led by a professional singer.

Singing for later life-Group singing for people ages 65 plus

This is a Skype or Zoom sing along session for anyone ages 65 and over, who enjoys singing. Material will be drawn from Jazz, Musical theatre, and pop from the 50’s-90’s. No previous singing experience required, backing tracks and lyrics provided.

Having graduated with a First Class Honours Degree from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and continuing to study opera at the prestigious Royal College of Music, I have been singing professionally for over 8 years.

Through having this professional performance experience, I teach with enthusiasm and a sense of openness. I have developed a flexible teaching technique which I adapt to each particular student. I am friendly and patient whilst also being clear and concise. In our lessons I believe it is essential for the student to feel at ease, and therefore my main goal is always to create a safe and free environment to discover and try new things!

Perhaps you sing or play as a hobby, or maybe you would like to take serious steps towards training as a professional performer. My knowledge of singing provides advanced tuition to all of my students, whatever level or genre you may be at or would like to start working at- each one of my students have different goals and intentions we are working towards together. I can help you to proceed through singing/instrumental/music theory grades, also teaching the aural aspects, but I am also as happy to teach those who would prefer to sing/play/study for fun without taking grades.

In our singing lessons we will cover a range of skills, such as posture, diction, breathing, self-expression and the most important ways to take care of your voice.

Techniques I will introduce you to will help you with breathing, benefits of correct posture, and resonance. We will develop a program that works for you & your voice! If you enjoy singing Pop, Rock or Jazz songs then all of these options are available for you in each lesson. We will create an atmosphere in which you can really focus on your development as a singer and artist. I start with finding out what sort of music the student/s would like to learn and go about then finding out what their level is.
We need to find out at where the student is at from locating “middle C“, to finding their way around the keyboard further.
