About Me
I am a humble seeker of the truth and I love to be able to help others in the same search. I believe it does not have to be a cohercion to learn, but only following the path your own nature suggests. If you do not feel the wish to learn within you, what may even the perfect teacher do? And if you instead wish so, how can a poor teacher convince you to let it go? Therefore I, who am neither perfect nor the worst, only think my purpose is to let you realize what you want for yourself.Education

Greek Tutor with 12 Years of Experience – Kids & AdultsHello! I’m a native Greek speaker with over 12 years of experience teaching Greek to both children and adults. I specialize in helping learners build strong foundations in grammar, vocabulary, and conversation, always adjusting my methods to suit each student's needs and goals. I hold a Master's degree in Translation Studies, which has deepened my understanding of language structure and communication.
Learning Greek may seem challenging at first, but with a clear strategy and a supportive tutor, it becomes fun and effective. The easiest way to learn Greek is by combining real-life dialogue with cultural context. Many students ask, “Is Greek hard to learn?” The truth is that while it’s different from many other languages, with regular practice and the right guidance, you’ll progress faster than you expect.
Typically, you can reach a basic conversational level within a few months. I offer engaging and practical lessons that keep learners motivated and confident. Whether you’re a complete beginner or want to improve your fluency, I’d be happy to support your journey to learning Greek!

Political Belief Systems: An Introduction to IdeologyEveryone who engages with politics (which is to say, everyone) has an ideology. But not everyone is conscious of- let alone consistent in their ideology. In fact, most people’s conscious politics are nothing more than an inconsistent aesthetic. But anyone who has a world they long to see owes it to themselves to at least be self aware of their own ideology, and they should probably also familiarize themselves with others as well. I can help on both fronts.
This 10-session class serves as an introduction to the concept of political ideology. We will begin with a brief overview to various major academic theories of ideology, before moving on to a taxonomical survey of different ideological genuses and families, both “thick-centered” ideologies, that is, ideologies with a comprehensive core specific enough that they can stand on their own as it were, such as liberalism, conservatism, socialism, and fascism, and “thin centered” ideologies, which have much broader and hence much less specific cores, and hence must attach themselves to other thick centered host ideologies in order to fully manifest themselves, such as populism, nationalism, feminism, and ecologism.

Philosophical and/or Sociological Theory: Tailored Lessons and Guided StudyThis class offers personalized instruction in philosophical and/or sociological theory, suited both for students seeking academic support and for individuals with a general interest in a philosophical topic.
Sessions are designed according to the student’s goals, whether it’s clarifying course material, preparing written assignments, or exploring theoretical texts independently.
I am currently completing a Master of Arts in Philosophy. My areas of specialization include ancient philosophy, early modern philosophy, and phenomenology. I also hold a background in sociology, which allows me to offer interdisciplinary approaches to social theory and critical thought.
Sessions can be focused on specific authors or movements (e.g. Plato, Spinoza, feminist theory), or organized thematically around concepts such as love, beauty, perception, or subjectivity. The goal is to foster rigorous but accessible understanding, with attention to both conceptual clarity and historical context.

How to be Happy: The Science and Philosophy of HappinessAre you happy?
Hey, my name's Dan, and I want to offer you a course all about exploring what happiness is and how you can achieve it. To do this, we'll be integrating modern scientific research and evidence with millennia of ancient philosophies, belief systems, and cultural insights. By doing this, you get all the wisdom you need and it's all backed by science!
This course will give you a new worldview on life to make you happier, wiser, and more self-aware. To do this, we don't just look at happiness- we look at human nature itself, evolution, the human brain, the body, morality, religion, emotions, meaning, self-actualisation, self-transcendence, and much more. All of these topics are explored from scientific and philosophical perspectives, drawing on what the experts and evidence in all these fields are saying.
And none of this is abstract: this whole course is all about giving practical advice to help you become the best version of yourself. But unlike other courses on happiness, all that advice is backed by real, trustworthy scientific research: so we know that it all works.
This course is for absolutely everyone. Whether you stopped science before GCSEs or chose it as your career, this course has a colossal amount of information that I've integrated from lots of different fields, and can present to you in an easy and friendly way.
For more information on the course's structure and what we'll be doing together, just drop me a message. Take care!

Courses in Philosophy, Ethics and Critical ThinkingPhilosophy is much more than a simple method; it's a more general way of positioning ourselves, even a way of life. At its core, it's critical thinking and the ability to see beyond what's left unsaid and unclear, and to find information, question, and arrive at a more nuanced vision of the world.
Together we will begin with everyday facts to explore the foundations of philosophy, look for clues in the history of thought and learn to be independent in our critical thinking.
I also support the questioning of major texts and problems posed in literature courses, philosophy courses in middle school, and preparation for the Swiss maturity, see prep for university studies.
NB: Particular interest in feminism to better understand current societal issues is welcome. I reserve the right to refuse any indecent or misogynistic contact.

Greek language classes for adults and children (all levels, personalized journey)When learning a language, every person needs a different method. Some of us are better with grammar, others need a lot of listening or writing when learning. That's why my goal is to create a personalized class that follows the goals of each individual. Whether you are a beginner, an advanced learner, or a person with Greek origins who needs to connect again with the language, I am here to help you enjoy the learning process. I have 3 years of experience both with children and adults. Let's start this journey together!
The course can also be taught in French. Everyone has their own way of learning a language. Some prefer more grammar, while others need to learn by speaking/listening. That's why each course is unique to meet the needs of each student. No matter your level (beginner, advanced, or even someone with Greek roots), I'm here to help you fall in love with the Greek language.
I look forward to meeting you all!
