About Me
I am an Associate Professor of Analytical/Environmental Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. I have over 20 years of experience as a faculty member teaching different Chemistry courses at the university level. I have been entrusted with the responsibility of nurturing young minds, igniting their passion for scientific exploration, and guiding them towards a meaningful career path. Through my extensive experience in academia, I have developed effective teaching methodologies that cater to diverse learning styles, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to excel.
I offer a combination of unique skills and competencies which I have developed through a lengthy and rewarding career as a lecturer, mentor, and researcher at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria. I have honed learning and mentoring strategies, academic leadership, and classroom management and skills through professional development training and attainment of key research and development strategies, and delivered educational assistance and instruction with enhanced success at various levels.
Mentoring has been the heart of my career, and I have had the privilege of coaching numerous postgraduate and undergraduate students, witnessing their growth as successful scientists and professionals. I have successfully supervised and mentored four Ph.D., 90 M.Sc., and 25 B.Sc. students from 2008 to date in analytical and environmental chemistry investigations.

• Convener, Global Women's Breakfast 2023 and RSC Inclusion and Diversity Project, a hybrid event with over 300 people in attendance, 2023
• Royal Society of Chemistry Inclusion and Diversity Grant, 2022. Mentored female secondary school and university undergraduate students (February to June, 2023)
• Successfully taught different Analytical and Environmental Chemistry courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels
• Successfully supervised and mentored four Ph.D., 84 M.Sc., and 23 B.Sc. students, 2008 to date.
• Coordinated, delivered and evaluated sixteen different Analytical and Environmental Chemistry courses between 2008 to date at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels with a recorded success rate of over 80% using different teaching and mentoring methods and skills including digital skills to satisfy course curricula and met students’ need
• Supervised instructed and evaluated students' laboratory sessions and industrial attachment at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels
• Mentored handled and critiqued student’s research work at different levels with positive attitudes and excellent completion rate
• Engaged and used a variety of learning modalities and support
• Assessed and emended lesson plans and course contents to achieve student-centred learning with over 80% engagement, retention and passes
