Flexible singing lessons to enjoy and learn through music.

I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons. My lessons are distinguished by their dynamics, practical approach and adaptation to the needs and interests of the student. The lessons (live or online) take place in my studio next to the Maastunnel, where I have a premium stage piano and a top-quality webcam setup. I speak Dutch at an intermediate level, which is improving every day.

Violin private (or small group) lessons are offered in classical, traditional, and rebetiko violin, classical theory, Makam theory and improvisation for all ages, from beginners to advanced levels. The lessons are taught by a qualified violinist (Degree in classical violin, Orfeio conservatory of Athens, Greece) and bachelor student of CODARTS Academy (Rotterdam, Netherlands) - World music (Ottoman violin) with four years of teaching experience. There is also the option to learn theory, solfège. Bio: Yvonne was born in Kavala in 1998. She began her violin studies at the age of seven under the guidance of Z. Zlateva. She studied classical violin and music theory and obtained her diploma with "highest honors" in 2022 from the Orpheus Conservatory in Athens, under the guidance of her teachers, M. Plesti and D. Semsis. Since 2023, she has been a student at Codarts WMDC (Rotterdam, Netherlands), pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Turkish music-Ottoman violin (teacher: Burak Savas). She has been a member of many orchestras as well as various music ensembles and workshops (music ensemble with A. Liakakis and T. Gouvelis, classical violin with M. Szlezer, experimental violin with F. Siotas, composition and orchestration with V. Papadopoulos, oriental violin with G. Papaioannou, M. Kouloumis, composition and orchestration with C. Erdogan, M. Nasser, Y. Tockan, G. Baktagir, Kudsi Erguner’s ensemble, Greek traditional music with M. Mavroidi, folk orchestra with M. Pappou, etc.) and has performed on some of the most important music stages in the country. She has composed music for dance performances and short films. Additionally, she is a graduate student at the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her first album, titled "Myrra," with T. Kofodimos, was released in December 2023. She has taught classical violin at the Pefki Municipal Conservatory, the Athens Conservatory, the Trofonio Conservatory of Livadeia, and has four years of experience teaching private lessons to students of all ages. My idea: Each lesson is unique and tailored to the student's needs. We can adjust the lesson according to what each person desires: from classical technique, exercises, and repertoire, to Maqam theory, taqsim, traditional/rebetiko/Ottoman repertoire, and of course, improvisation. My fundamental principle is that technique comes first, but what's important is that musical knowledge is not sterile but enjoyable. I achieve this through a variety of repertoire, a pleasant atmosphere, and especially through group playing, both among ourselves and with other students and musicians.

Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music” (under the guidance of esteemed professor Sergei Edelmann). Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions.
