My name is Farris, and I am currently a 3rd-year Aerospace Engineering student studying at TU Delft. I have a strong international background, having lived most of my life outside the Netherlands and at international schools. Upon completing my secondary education at The International School of The Hague in 2020, I began tutoring students from the school who struggled with mathematics and physics and have been doing so ever since.

My tutoring sessions often follow quite an unorthodox approach. As a younger student myself, I struggled massively with mathematics and physics at a younger age, mostly due to issues with focusing and understanding, as well as being diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). Over the years I developed methods of dealing with such issues, and it is those methods that I use in my tutoring sessions to help students progress in their academics.

I live near the Rotterdam Centrum area. Tutoring sessions can happen at my house, at public locations (Rotterdam Central Library), at the home of the student (depending on location), or online on a call. If a student is hesitant to learn one-on-one, or has a friend/classmate whom would also like to be tutored, dual sessions can take place whereby both students are tutored simultaneously.

I can teach Mathematics from High School level up to Master's level (Linear Algebra and Statistics). I can also teach programming in Python.

I believe in explaining Mathematics by giving practical examples rather than bookish knowledge. In order to understand Mathematics it is important to understand the underlying concepts and transfer that knowledge to problem solving techniques.

I give two types of lesson:
- Regular Classes: Classes on regular basis as you move through a course in university or school.
- Intense Classes: A longer intense class session spanning several hours in order to prepare for an exam.

I am currently a third year student in pre-med at Erasmus University College, and a second year in mechanical engineering at TU Delft. I am proficient in teaching in English and can explain stuff in Dutch, but at a slightly slower pace as it is my second language. I can essentially tutor all STEM subjects with a week's notice due to my coursework in almost all field but here is a list I am most comfortable with: Mathematics, Physics, Biology (not plant biology), Chemistry, Computer science (Matlab and Python), principles of engineering design (including SolidWorks) and Economics.
