I offer piano lessons: Beginner to Second cycle
From 37.48 £ /h
I divide the piano course into three parts:
- Technical exercises: work on dexterity, flexibility and finger precision
- Rhythmic and melodic deciphering: allows the student to gain autonomy.
- Learning a piece of your choice: the student will be able to make the link between theory and practice. It is also in this part that he will learn to bring nuances into his playing.

Passionate about music? Discover the pleasure of playing the piano with tailored lessons
My name is Mathilde Guer and I offer piano lessons for people at cycle 1 or beginning of cycle 2 level. I can also give lessons to people with disabilities.
I have been playing the piano for about ten years. I studied for three years at the Annecy Conservatory in contemporary music keyboard, then three years at the Montpellier Conservatory in classical piano. At the same time, I followed a training in music therapy with the DU of the Paul Valéry Montpellier 3 University.
This mix of experiences and musical approaches has greatly enriched me as a teacher. My goal is to allow students to learn the piano with rigor and pleasure.
With my training in music therapy, I know how to adapt to the unique needs of each student. During our lessons, we usually work on a piece chosen by the student. If necessary, I write the scores myself so that they correspond to his or her level. We also create exercises and targeted pieces based on the student's specific needs.
I make sure that learning is enjoyable, with an emphasis on musical pleasure and playing comfort. In addition to learning the pieces, we also cover the concepts of music theory, interpretation and improvisation.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. See you soon at the piano!
