My name is Dorelle, and I have been playing the cello and piano since childhood. Teaching has always been an essential part of my journey, alongside my professional career as a cellist in various ensembles and orchestras.

About Me

My name is Dorelle, and I have been playing the cello and piano since childhood. I grew up in Paris and pursued a double degree in music and 3D animation, as I’ve always been passionate about the arts in all their forms. Teaching has always been an essential part of my journey, alongside my professional career as a cellist in various ensembles and orchestras.

My lessons adapt to any age, any level, any musical taste.
Classical, pop, film music, improvisation... Anything is possible and open to exploration!

Over the years, I built a small class of students, happily teaching music theory and cello side by side when needed — which creates a solid foundation for progress. Additionally, I worked as an assistant teacher at the Huy Academy for three summers, working with both children and adults.

For me, music is an enriching experience based on exchange. I enjoy working and playing alongside my students because it creates a friendly and motivating environment. I guide children with interactive and playful methods, and offer adults and teenagers a structured approach to progress with confidence.

Our teacher using, if necessary, an electro-acoustic guitar to better accompany your voice and guide some of its subtleties, the teaching philosophy is adapted to each level, according to the pace of work and motivation.

Are you a beginner?? No worries: no experience is required! 😁
I can teach you the basics to produce sounds with your saxophone: position of the embouchure (teeth, tongue, lips and vocal cords' position, an element often forgotten), fingerings, use of diafragma,...
After the first two lessons spent on the mouthpiece and neck for the sound production, we will immediately start to play some super easy duos together to practice your capacity of listening, pay attention to the other, ear training as well. I normally use the book of Peter Wastall (titled Learn as you play) as support, but it is not mandatory. There are plenty of good books btw!

Are you an intermediate / advanced student?? I am sure you can still improve in all the basics, but on a different level. I'll teach you the importance of the "voicing" (technique named by the american saxophonist and pedagogue Donald Sinta) to improve your sound production and projection as well as the capacity of correcting and improving the intonation. You can learn all about phrasing and music interpretation, from tonal music until contemporary atonal compositions. And still, you can improve your playing together, practicing in duo on different aspects like tuning, balance, interpretation, performance etc.

Lessons for modern or historical, with program and repertoire, adapted to the goals and speed of each student, whether young, not so young, or adult, for a general introduction to these instruments, for preparation for high music education, as a supplementary aid for exams in music academies, or for a hobby, or for amateur group music-making, or for developing qualities as concentration, discipline, expressibility, awareness of styles and music history.
In my teaching, I rely mostly on old traditional methods, books, and repertoire, which have proved their efficiency over the time. I also make use of the old teaching tradition of improvisation. This not only adds a creative element soon after very beginning, but also teaches via practice the basics of harmony.
Lessons can be combined (+30min.) with theory/solfege (ear training), if the student wishes.

Hi! I'm a violinist and a graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland, where I completed my Master's degree.

I offer individual violin lessons for children and adults, both beginners and more advanced players.

For me, learning the violin is not just about playing the right notes. It's also about enjoying music, discovering new things and having fun along the way. I like to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where students feel comfortable, motivated and free to learn at their own pace.
