Private summer lessons in English - French - Spanish + grammar and spelling, translation and interpretation

From 26 £ /h

My name is Oceane. I'm 27. I did my University Bachelor in Translation Interpretation at the University of Liège in 4 years. Then, I undertook a second course in Tourism Management. I graduated since September 2019 with Mention The Greatest Distinction for my Thesis .. During my classes, depending on the level of the student, I can teach in French, English or Spanish. I will take the time to first analyze where the student is with the basics of the language. Then, I will look carefully at the material seen in class and adapt my approach to this material in relation to the student's skills. I will use concrete examples to explain the grammar or conjugation of the foreign language while making a connection with French. I can use listening or reading exercises to familiarize the student with all aspects of the language. If the courses requested are a help in French, I will take the time to explain and teach in a more original way our many spelling rules. I can also help with reading aloud, pronunciation, and understanding text. Whatever the needs of the pupil or the student, I think I am perfectly able to provide all the tips and tricks necessary to facilitate the learning of the requested language.

About Me

My name is Oceane. I completed my University Bachelor in Translation-Interpretation at the University of Liège in 4 years. During this Bachelor, I did a 6 month Erasmus stay in Prague, Czech Republic. Afterwards, I went to work for 3 months in Spain. Then, I undertook a second more economical course in Tourism Management. I graduated in September 2019 having obtained the Greatest Distinction for my Thesis.
I am passionate about travel and photography. I have a crush on urban photography and for Eastern Europe in general.
I like to learn and I like to transmit knowledge. I like to teach students and see their smiles when the material is acquired. I like to feel that they are more interested in languages and that they are progressing. Getting better in languages can help you gain confidence in speaking in the foreign language. At a time when globalization is becoming a key factor in the world of work, I think it is very important for everyone to be able to manage in English, Spanish or other languages in order to facilitate international relations and contacts. with our friends outside Belgium. Thanks to English and Spanish, I was able to study and work abroad without any difficulty. I have also been able to connect with people around the world through these common languages. A unique experience that I would like to share with my students so they can live it one day, too.

I take care of the correction of the homework, the explanation of the grammar, the vocabulary, I can also write dictations, help him to prepare his future interrogations and analyze those which he has already realized. Knowing how to write is very important, but speaking is just as much, small comprehensions to hearing, etc.

Having studied at HEC Liège and having a master's degree in management sciences, I would like to dedicate time to primary, secondary and higher education students (Haute-Ecole and University) in order to help them overcome their weaknesses, provide them with the necessary tools for good work organization and assured success. I would like to work with them in a collaborative perspective to help them progress in the best possible way.

In the meantime, I also obtained my master's degree in teaching, which now allows me to teach economics in upper secondary schools.

My career being quite broad, I commit myself to teach different subjects:

- Homework help and tutoring in primary and secondary for various subjects (mainly maths *, French * and English *)
- Memorization
- Work methodology
- * French and English: correction of works, working dialogue, grammar, vocabulary, writing, reading comprehension, etc.
- * Maths: correction of the works, explanation of the theory, elaborate syntheses together in order to make the course as clear as possible and the easiest to memorize, etc.
