Drama School Preparation and Performance Guidance.
From 33 £ /h
I specialise in preparing candidates for drama school auditions, looking specifically at the preparation of chosen monologues. Reviewing performances and help with monologue selection is also part of my programme as I believe that the correct monologue selection is key to showing a candidates best potential. Through this work we will look at character creation and performance as well as the history and theory behind your chosen pieces.
I offer a similar service for GCSE and A level students for their performance assessments. Having completed both GCSE and A level Drama I can advise on written work as well.
Likewise if you are just looking to improve on your acting abilities and expand your knowledge I offer lesson without the need to prepare for an exam.

About Me
Hello I'm Anna. I'm from and currently work in and around Sheffield, South Yorkshire, but I am more than happy to travel to students within reason or do sessions via webcam.
I gained my BA Hons Drama degree in 2014 and have been working in theatre schools since, teaching a mixture of drama, dance and singing from ages 3- adult level.
In the last few years I have become specialised in 1:1 work focusing on students performance skills for auditions. Primarily this has been with a view to gain entry to drama schools across the country, but I have worked with working professionals on their audition pieces for productions and current projects.
I believe 1:1 work is the best way to be able to fine tune and focus in on a students abilities, for self improvement and enhancement. I'm flexible in my teaching style to adapt to a student's needs and can adapt my schedule to work around their schedule.
I give regular feedback in session, which can be shared with third parties if required, I usually do this verbally but would be happy to type up a written copy if needed. I assign work outside of lessons so that students can put into practice the skills they learn with me without me being there to guide them. It also gives me a sense of the dedication from the students I work with.
I am available outside of lesson time if students find themselves with questions or just need to talk something through but do expect the majority of work to happen within our lessons.
