Geography, History and Economics are all humanity and information cramming subjects. They are all heavy on concepts, theories and solutions which can be taught in fun, easily understandable ways in order for students of any level to understand even the most difficult of theories. I approach learning dependent on the student and what suits them.

Experience / Qualifications
Underwriting Intern, Ariel Re (August- October 2022)
I underwent a month’s internship at Ariel Re where I got great knowledge and understanding of the market. I took part in the Ceded reinsurance, Natural Catastrophe property, Marine and Energy, Clean Energy and Cyber underwriting lines as well as shadowing the exposure and risk modelling and management sector of the business to greater understand the forces behind the market. Throughout the month I had direct, one on one meetings with underwriters and brokers as well as taking part in internal and external group collaborative meetings and tasks. Alongside this, I explored the business and market systems of the company and Lloyd’s market with the CEO, Managing director and Active Underwriter. We also visited Lloyds where I viewed the connections, relationships and brokering of reinsurance deals first-hand. Furthermore, I studied the basics of both the insurance and reinsurance industries, studied the London Market of insurance books, and learnt to use excel and ARPS software in understanding reinsurance treaties from a numerical perspective.
Investment Intern, ESRG Group (August -September 2017)
Had work experience working at an investment firm. Taking part in their current business and banking in London and working alongside current employees in Chester. This involved Investment identification where projects and funding would be sourced to combine two parties in creating sustainable and profitable investments such as housing land plots in Birmingham. I was shadowing the CEO and employees working alongside the projects where I participated in external meetings and grasped an underlying understanding of the investment industry.
Factory operative, TRP Sealing Systems Limited (August 2018 February 2019)
Following an initial 6-week training period, I worked as a factory operative in manufacturing rubber seals for various industrial applications. It was physically hard work, working 12-hour shifts working alongside a disparate group of co-workers from different backgrounds. I developed a knowledge of standard operating procedures and the need to meet targets.
