These exams follow each other and look alike. From year to year, examiners have similar expectations, which must be targeted so as not to be taken on class on D-day.

It is therefore a question of developing a framework to be applied methodically for each task and that is what we can work on. Most of the requests come from CE1D in mathematics: in this subject more than any other, the analysis of past CE1D, the targeting of essential materials and the development of “recipe cards” makes the work less random and more strategic. WHO AM I?

My name is Valérie and I am 31 years old. Multi-graduate, I remain an eternal student. Even when I was little, still at the beginning of my primary schooling, I was looking for ways to learn more easily. This search for rapid and effective study continued with me during secondary school, to which was added the challenge of following them in English immersion. The personal learning methods that I had developed took on even more meaning when the thick university syllabi piled up on my desk. As with everyone, university learning remained a challenge to overcome. However, my methods have allowed me to mix quantities of subjects over the years: political science, sociology, intercultural management, anthropology, museology... Versatile and jack of all trades, I have also followed various personal development training courses. , or even in art therapy.

Today I am taking up a challenge that invites me to explore other ways of enriching myself and learning: I am starting my 3rd year at the Institute of Music and Pedagogy in Namur where I train in singing classic. These studies differ in many aspects from those I have accomplished so far. Therefore, they offer me the chance to seek to understand all the more how to adapt my methods to very diverse subjects.

In this busy course, I have been giving private lessons for over 10 years. I am enriched by contact with the students and it is a wonderful reward to see them develop their own methods and rediscover their abilities and skills.

MY EXPERIENCE
As a native French speaker, I know the beauty and poetry of the language inside and out, and I’m excited to share it with anyone curious to dive in. Since high school, I’ve offered private tutoring to students aged 10 to 17, helping them with everything from grammar worksheets and book reviews to philosophy essays and creative writing assignments.

As for English, I was raised in an international school environment where English was a core part of my education from childhood through high school. I earned my TOEFL certificate before beginning my current bachelor’s studies, which are entirely in English. I've also taught English with a focus on pronunciation, grammar, syntax, and practical communication skills.

TUTORING SET-UP
When tutoring, I place strong emphasis on tracking progress, often by assigning homework (if agreed upon) and creating clear, structured plans to help students stay on track. My mother tongue is Dutch, I come from Hasselt. I lived in Liège for 7 years, at home we speak French, Dutch and a little German. This academic year I followed a course at the UCLL college to become a teacher of FRENCH FLE for secondary education. Here I learned about the didactic approach. The French language is complicated for a lot of people, my goal with this class is to teach it with patience and understanding without judgment. I think learning language can be a veritable pleasure. I am specialized in tutoring French grammar, vocabulary, linguistics and syntax with books adapted to all levels that I myself was able to study during my school curriculum in France like "Les Fleurs Du Mal" by Baudelaire, "Les Liaisons Dangereuses" by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos and more books which we can discuss together.
