From 17.86 £ /h
Hello Students! My name is Ciara. I am a native speaker from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. I have a Bachelor's degree in French and Psychology from Pennsylvania State University. I have experience in tutoring children and adults both one-on-one and in small groups. I am currently an English Language Assistant at two elementary schools in Tours, France.
I can provide tutoring to children, teenagers, and adults. I am happy to help with English speaking, pronunciation, reading, listening, writing and grammar. My goal is to create a positive language learning environment for the students that I tutor. I can tailor the tutoring to the needs, age and language ability of the student.
During the first session, we can discuss the student's goals and what he or she would like to focus on and improve. I can either provide learning tools or offer assistance with English homework that the student has received from his or her teacher at school. I am very flexible and can adapt to the needs of each student.
I can provide my resume or reference letters if requested. I look forward to hearing from you and please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have.

About Me
Hello! I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. Pittsburgh is the home of many sports team [the Steelers (football), Pirates (baseball) and Penguins (hockey)] and also Heinz Ketchup! I graduated this year from Pennsylvania State University with an honors degree in French Language and Psychology with a focus on Child Psychology. I am currently living in France as an English Language Assistant. I have a passion for traveling and exploring other cultures. My favorite place that I have visited is India! I have studied and lived abroad in Quebec, Montréal and Paris. I will live in France for one year. During my year in France, I would like to learn more about French daily life and explore regions in France that I have never visited.
When I am not working or studying, I enjoy photography, running, reading, skiing and spending time with my friends and family.
I have an intermediate level of French so I can communicate with students in French when necessary but the majority of my tutoring interactions will take place in English.
