Hi there! I'm Liuba, a painter who’s genuinely in love with acrylics and all the creative mess they bring.

I work in various genres — abstract art, still life, landscapes, portraits, floral compositions — basically, if it sparks emotion, I paint it.

My artworks have found homes around the world through online galleries such as Saatchi Art and Artfinder. But what I love just as much as painting is sharing the joy of it with others.

I offer fun, relaxed and personalised online private acrylic painting lessons for kids and adults. No pressure, no rigid rules — just creativity, colour and the opportunity to develop your own artistic style.

Whether you’re picking up a brush for the first time or already have some experience and want to improve your technique, I’ll guide you step by step with patience and good humour.

During the lessons, we can explore different subjects and techniques, including:

About Me

Hi! I’m Liuba — an artist and creative soul with a background in both fine art and interior design.
I studied Decorative and Applied Arts at an art college in Ukraine, and later earned a degree in Interior Design from university. For over a decade, I worked professionally in the interior design field — helping clients create beautiful spaces. But painting has always been my true passion.

I’ve been painting with acrylics for years, exploring different styles and subjects: from abstract pieces and floral compositions to landscapes, portraits, and still life. My artworks are sold internationally through online galleries like Saatchi Art and Artfinder.

I’ve also hosted several painting workshops for adults and teens — and it’s something I absolutely love doing. I believe creativity should be joyful, playful, and open to everyone, no matter their skill level.

In my lessons, I don’t just teach technique — I guide students to explore, express themselves, and enjoy the process of making something new.

I’m based in the Amsterdam area and happy to travel within the region for private lessons.

I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen.

I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist.

I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns.

In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on.

You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns.

Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

These sessions allow the development of skills and knowledge of the trade, with the game facing the camera, familiarization with the audiovisual environment and the camera tool, in the art of acting.

Your inventiveness and your uniqueness being at the center of your training, it is a question of dwelling on the objective criteria, such as the voice, the use of the body, the relationship with the partner, the capacity to occupy the space. I am an artist and philosopher from Amsterdam currently living in Antwerp. I studied in London where I acquired a BA from Art Academy London and a BA in philosophy from St Mary's University London.

Artistic development starts by identifying your artistic interest. As artists, we don’t always know why we draw and paint the things that we do. Yet they are not random. What captivates us or draws us towards certain artworks? This might be the tonal way in which light reflects, structural forms or mathematical division. The point being, is that we all have such aesthetic interests and step 1 is finding out what interests you!

Step 2 is helping you express your interests through painting techniques, styles and materiality. But it all starts with you. What do you want to say? And how? I will help you do this through discussion, looking at your previous work (if you have any), introducing you to a LARGE variety of artists, potentially copying their styles. I adjust my classes according to your needs.

The goal is simple: to come to understand your artistic interest, help you find techniques to express them and develop your artistic language.

(Please note that just because you have found an artistic interest and a way to express it, it does not mean that you must do only one thing for the rest of your life. It is the downfall of creativity to repeat and paint the same way over and over again. Instead, allow your interests to drive your creativity. Let it be the starting point, venture out and discover it from various angles and ways of expressing it. But also be mindful that as we grow our interests can change and as they change, we must remain honest and respond accordingly such that our artistic language can also grow.)

Learn digital illustration through personalized lessons focused on the areas you want or need to improve the most. The classes are adapted to your current level, artistic goals, and the kind of work you want to create.

We can explore different illustration techniques and approaches, including black-and-white artwork, grayscale painting, full-color illustration, character-focused pieces, and more stylized or rendered work. Rather than following the exact same program for every student, the lessons can focus on the techniques that are most useful for your development.

Currently, I teach illustration, drawing, painting, collage, wool weaving, and artisanal printing techniques. I studied graphic design, worked in the field, and then furthered my skills in the visual arts.
