My name is Alexey, a student at the Utrecht Conservatory. I teach guitar and music theory to children, teenagers, and adults. I also teach in Russian!

I am competent in teaching basic guitar skills to beginners and advanced students. I have over five years of experience teaching children and adults in Russian and English, and I can also provide basic instructions in Greek.

My lessons are tailored to the students' interests and needs, using academic methods to organize the lesson. I encourage a healthy relationship with the instrument and music and help establish an effective system of independent practice.
The program includes :
- Hand positioning, micromotor skill development, and finger dexterity.
- Proper sound production technique.
- Developing basic rhythm
- Introduction to music theory and improvisation using scales, music creation
- Chords and accompaniment
- Improvised music, jazz and blues, pop and rock guitar, traditional music, and original songs.

I currently study guitar at the Utrecht Conservatorium, specialised in electric guitar.   I am competent to teach basic guitar skills to beginners. I have experience in both teaching kids and adults. I speak Russian and English languages fluently, can give basic instructions in Greek too.

My lessons are adapted to the interests of the students and their necessities, using more didactic methodologies with the kids. I encourage healthy relationships with the instrument and music, I will help to establish efficient practice routine.

With beginners we will start developing deeper understanding of music, sense of rhythm, fingers , we focus on acquiring the basic skills of accompaniment and playing lines.
With intermediate players we will develop an individual program focusing on playing songs, improvising and getting familiar with music theory.

My name is Panagiotis and I am a guitar teacher/player. I have two bachelor degrees: Classical Guitar (Philippos Nakas Conservatory), Jazz&Pop Guitar (HKU Utrecht Conservatory). I have been teaching in music schools and giving individual lessons for the last 14 years. In 2017 I moved to Utrecht to continue my studies in jazz guitar at the Utrecht Conservatory and explore the Dutch music scene.I teach electric, acoustic, classical guitar and music theory. Besides the basic technique and theory knowledge, which Ι make sure to provide to each of my students , I individually prepare their study line, according to their taste and abilities. My goal is to help my students to find their own musicality and reveal their inner voice by giving them the most appropriate tools. Besides teaching I have two bands which I give lots of concerts with , at several venues and festivals.

I have been giving guitar lessons since 2007 with great pleasure. In addition to these private lessons, I worked at the Guitar Academy in Amsterdam, at Muziekles Den Bosch and at Art in Music in Utrecht, next to my work as an executive musician. I studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg and Musicology at Utrecht University. Broad interests, reflected in the hoevelheid styles I play and education (from pop and rock to salsa, tango and gypsy to metal and jazz). I also give solfège and music theory.
It does not matter how exotic your interest, I can help you get better! In addition, I can choose and arrange songs for you, so that there is no limit to your imagination: learn to play what you want to learn to play.

These lessons are not given in a large, impersonal music school: lesson duration and lesson dates are discussed and are flexible. Personal and smooth, easier for everyone. Besides guitar enthusiast teaching is a big passion of mine, and I think that is essential to be able to offer good lessons. Whether I teach you how to play your first songs in a few lessons, or whether we are going to pick up some tough pieces, it is a pleasant and productive learning process. I have been playing Classical Guitar for 14 years. I have always practiced the greatest repertoire from Ancient Music (Dowland, Sanz, Bach), Modern and Contemporary (Paganini, Tarrega, Villa-Lobos, Brouwer) while experimenting other genres (Blues, Rock, Ragtime, Progressive, Pop) and composing music myself.

Hi, I'm Emi, I'm a singer-sonwriter and I play in a band. I also give music lessons at primary schools. This as part of a broader program. I am a graduated philosopher. I give citizenship and creative development. I have been in music for over 20 years and have followed many, often shorter, courses. I also give private guitar lessons, mainly to children, but also to adults. Then songwriting is often added. I enjoy teaching and I enjoy it.

The way I teach actually depends entirely on the student. The way I explain the concepts, plan and structure the lessons and approach each subject all depends on whether the student is a beginner, intermediate or advanced, and whether he or she has some experience on the subject.

Each student has different needs and different abilities. It's just a matter of getting to know the student, in order to identify both the weaknesses and strengths on which to work.

Hi! Im Swar! Ive been a guitar tutor for the past 8 years. Ive taught over 100 students how to play the guitar

I myself have played in several bands and also been a part of a band that has opened for famous artists such as God is am astronaut, karnivool, etc.

I have a simple funda: practice! Playing the guitar is a physical skill, I aim to give you enough practice to master this. The practice doesnt have to be boring! Every class you learn a little but of theory and a song to compensate for the theory ;) (except for the first class where you aren't allowed to touch the guitar).

I personalize the class plan per student based on their learning needs. Minimum ‘boring’ theory if you know you're a hobbyist! And lots of theory for the nerdy music lovers!

I do offer discount if you form a group with another student

However, all grouped students must attend the class at the same time!

I personally like group classes! Its cheaper and healthy competition pushes you harder to do better!

I want to base my lessons on playing the guitar and related instruments in a way that feels mastered and personal.

I therefore want to focus on expression, technique and the aurally malleable nature of the instrument, for example by discussing extended techniques and the use of effect pedals. I want to invite the students to learn to listen carefully to the impact of different playing techniques and audio effects.

During the lessons I want to cover different kinds of music theory, especially in an "applied" way that is valuable to the student. I also want to deal with recording and producing my own work.

Owning your own effects pedals, a guitar amplifier or recording equipment is not required for this course.

Hello there! My name is Vasilis and I am a jazz/rock/eastern traditional and classical guitar player, singer and songwriter currently studying as a 3rd year student in the Jazz and Pop guitar department of HKU conservatory. I am coming from Greece where I graduated from my first bachelor on classical guitar and the last three years I live, study, work and play in Utrecht.

My teaching career started very early, 12 years ago when my classical guitar teacher let me teach my first student and since then I have worked in multiple music schools and in private lessons with students of every age. This year I also started giving my first band coaching group lessons.

In my lessons I try to create a learning path that is formed arround the interests and taste of each student. Since I am a singer and songwriter the lessons can also focus on the creating part of music if of course the student is interested in that. I work with empathy and sensitivity arround the needs of each student.

As for my playing career, I play with multiple bands on original songs of mine or covers in different venues and festivals in Europe. The genres differ between pop, jazz, rock, eastern traditional and blues so I can give a big variety of stylistic directions to each student.

Last but not least, I am also a singer and because of my good performance in school, I was awarded from the HKU Conservatory the oportunity to follow the vocal curriculum of the school as well. So I can help you with singing too!

My name is Sotiris and I’m a guitarist from Athens, Greece. I discovered my passion for the guitar at the age of seven it all started when I first heard Led Zeppelin.That sound pulled me into the world of guitar and soon led me to the blues, where my musical journey truly began.Over the years, I’ve explored many styles, from electric blues, jazz, rock, and pop to acoustic fingerstyle solo guitar.

I studied Jazz and Pop Guitar at the HKU Utrechts Conservatorium,where I deepened my understanding of both performance and teaching.I’m currently offering electric and acoustic guitar lessons,as well as music theory. Each student learns differently, so I always adapt my lessons to fit their individual goals, taste, and pace. My aim is to help students grow as musicians, discover their own sound, and enjoy every step of the learning process.

Now based in Utrecht, I’m active as both a performer and teacher, constantly inspired by the connection between creativity, expression, and learning.
