Hip-Hop Dance Lessons: Foundations, Grooves, Freestyle & Confidence
From 34 £ /h
I teach hip-hop dance with a strong focus on foundations, grooves, musicality, coordination, and freestyle. Rather than only learning choreography and copying movements, my goal is to help students understand how their body moves, develop strong fundamentals, and eventually find their own individual style.
Classes usually begin with a warm-up followed by foundation and groove training. We spend time drilling movements to build muscle memory, rhythm, coordination, and confidence. I also use short routines and combinations to help students apply what they have learned, but the main focus is developing the skills to dance independently, create variations, and freestyle to different types of music.
Students can work on:
Hip-Hop foundations and grooves
Musicality and rhythm
Coordination and body control
Freestyle skills
Creating variations from basic movements
Confidence and personal style
Short choreography and combinations
Preparation for freestyle sessions or dance battles
I have 4 years of dance teaching experience and have taught both group classes and private lessons in dance studio settings. I work with children, teenagers, and adults, from age 4 to 18+, and I am comfortable teaching complete beginners as well as students with previous dance experience.
My classes are energetic, supportive, and confidence-building. I want students to feel comfortable experimenting, making mistakes, and discovering how they personally like to move instead of feeling that there is only one “correct” way to dance.
Private and group lessons are available in Valencia, Spain. Classes can be taught in English or Mandarin Chinese.

About Me
I’m a hip-hop dancer and teacher from Toronto, Canada, with 4 years of experience teaching students of different ages and levels. I love creating energetic and supportive classes where students can build confidence, enjoy the music, and develop their own style.
My approach goes beyond simply memorizing choreography. I focus on hip-hop foundations, grooves, musicality, coordination, and freestyle so students can understand movement, build strong fundamentals, and eventually dance more independently. I like breaking movements down clearly, drilling foundations to build muscle memory, and helping students experiment with variations and find their own way of moving.
I have experience teaching children, teenagers, and adults, from complete beginners to more experienced dancers. My background in Social Work and my upcoming Master of Teaching studies have also shaped the way I work with students: I value patience, encouragement, communication, and adapting my teaching style to each student.
Whether you want to learn hip-hop for fun, become more confident, improve your freestyle, develop your own style, or prepare for dance battles, I’ll adapt the lessons to your goals.
I can teach in English or Mandarin Chinese.
