I have been doing hip hop over 10 years and competed in solo and crew battles. In my class I will be teaching everything from basic hip hop steps to advanced freestyling techniques and choreography. I will also be going over the history of hip hop dance and music. I have experience teaching students of all levels and age groups. I normally tailor my class to each individual student. I am happy to work with any level and I also prepare students for competitions.

After teaching a lot of online dance classes during covid, I feel like the virtual way of teaching is missed by me and a lot of my previous students. My dance classes are based on hiphop foundations, teaching my students fundamental technique through dance moves that build towards routines and choreography. The class helps students to be more active and develop in their confidence without the issues that might arise when dancing in a dance studio amongst others.

Have you always wanted to learn how to dance but didn't know where to start? Do you have some dancing experience but need to work on your confidence or boost your skills / technique? Come and dance with me! My classes are for adults of any age and ability who want to learn to dance, or for anyone who already has dance experience but wants to explore themselves more as a soloist. I aim to develop your confidence with movement and body awareness throughout our sessions, and also work on your freestyling, skills picking up choreography, or even help you choreograph something of your own if you wish! My personal approach to dance is bringing fun to it! If you don't enjoy yourself, you won't continue to learn. Having fun is key to progressing, and we will get to improve technique and confidence along the way! My sessions are an hour long but 15 mins of those minutes are dedicated to warming up, cooling down and also discussing your day / week and your mental state before we start. This is so we can use the thoughts and feelings of the day as tools for our session to help release tension and boost your energy! The meaty part of the session will focus on some techniques, movement and music exploration and short choreographed combinations.
