I specify in tutoring English (grammar, reading, writing etc.) for foreign students preparing for school or university exams or who simply wish to practice the language. I can offer conversation practice for those wishing to advance particularly in their Spanish oral. I am a native speaker and can design a programme of lessons to suit the student's needs. If you would like to be assigned homework, this can be incorporated into the programme, and if you would prefer to adopt a more laid-back approach, this can also be provided for. I have experience teaching languages and am determined to make this experience as enjoyable as possible for those wishing to learn!

About Me

I am a hard working, enthusiastic student, having just completed my penultimate year at the University of Edinburgh studying Spanish and English Literature.

During my second year at university, I volunteered writing lesson plans and delivering Spanish lessons at a local primary school where there was a severe lack of language, human and other resources available. I worked in coordination with the students’ learning objectives in order to deliver rigorous content in a professional and inspiring way. Following this experience, I have volunteered for Walsingham Support during the Covid-19 pandemic. The charity provides support for individuals with learning difficulties, autism, brain injuries and complex needs. I teach Spanish to a small group of adults each week over video call to provide some educational respite during this unsettling time. On the back of these volunteering opportunities, I have experience with disadvantaged or struggling students and adopt an approach that combines audiovisual learning with more conventional teaching methods to ensure that my tutoring is both engaging and rigorous.
