I have graduated from the National School of Fine Arts "Ilia Petrov" in Sofia, Bulgaria with a diploma for painting and I have studied Painting and Pedagogics at the National Academy of Art, Burgas Branch for a year. I love children. I have worked in kids' creative workshops before.

My class is a simple painting class for anyone that loves drawing already and people who are not quite sure, but love color and would like to learn something new.
I would love to give in my lessons the students the freedom to experiment with materials and textures, which I wasn't allowed myself during my time in art school. The teachers were a bit old fashioned and told me they prefer me to stick to more classical techniques, and as long as I wouldn't tell them that my work was "mixed media", they would love my paintings.

The class includes Color Theory that will explain as we work on different projects and themes. Essentially Color Theory is how colors correspond to each other on the painting surface and how differently they get along on the working palet.

Of course, the class is mainly for fun, but I do want the students to actually be learning and progressing so I may give assignments to do at home and then bring and show to me next time, as well as we would work together when the class is happening. However I'm not going to give grades to the attendants, I might verbally explain what I like and what I don't in work.

Extra information

Bring as many as different materials as you can: paints, crayons and papers and even scissors if the assignment is allowing collage.
