I am a native Italian speaker and have more than two years of experience teaching Italian as a foreign language to English-speaking students. My path to becoming an Italian teacher began with a Bachelor's degree in Translation Studies for the German and English languages. I then completed a Master's degree in Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language at University of Bologna. Moreover, my passion for teaching the language and culture of my country led me to a second Master's degree in e-learning for teaching Italian to foreigners at University for Foreigners in Siena.

My teaching method is entirely based on the needs of the student. For those who mainly want to improve their oral expression skills, the lesson focuses a lot on conversation. In this way, grammar does not remain dry theory, but is applied again and again as you speak. Vocabulary will also come to you more quickly with practice. As an actor I have starred in feature films, TV series, and commercials. My own acting accolades include awards for my performances, such as Best Actor at The Mac Film Festival for my role in the international short film "Cinnamon."

I am a professional actress and movement director and I deliver one-to-one drama tuition sessions and full day workshops that are tailored to suit your individual needs. I have worked as an acting teacher and public speaking coach for all age groups (from ages 3 - 80!) for 24 years and it is a great passion and privilege of mine to assist in this way, seeing my students' evolution.

I have both a diploma and a degree in Acting (LAMDA, Associate Acting Diploma/ Rose Bruford, BA Hons Acting) and I have trained with Gecko physical theatre company. As well as performing for decades on stage and on screen, I have also run The Bedlam Bunch Children's Theatre and Entertainment since 2007, through which I have written and directed numerous stage plays as well as interactive, immersive shows for children aged 3 - 9 years. I also founded and ran Outburst Theatre from 2010 - 2019 as a platform to bring communities together in South East London via educational theatre projects. I hold a level 3 Adult Teaching Certificate and as a graduate of the full-time acting course at LAMDA, the use of English and the ability to communicate and understand has always been at the heart of my professional career as an actor for 25 years but also my business career for over 20 years.

I also have considerable experience of organizing and formatting processes which are
aligned to assessing and training requirements. For over twenty-five years, I have
assessed Parliamentary Candidates for a major political party and for the past twelve
years, I have been organizing and Facilitating them both face-to-face and since the
pandemic online as VADs or Virtual Assessment Days.

The biggest barrier facing any adult learner who is also in employment is trying to balance the conflicting demands of employment with the competing demands of a formal course which has its own timetable. Whether the employment is full-time or part-time, there are always just so many hours in the day. So rest assured, I can be completely flexible to suit your timetable.

Setswana is a rich, rhythmic language spoken in Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. Belonging to the Bantu family, it closely resembles other languages in the region.
I have found learning Setswana through several terrific teachers, thorough textbooks and daily life enriching.

Growing up in Botswana, speaking this beautiful and intricate language, or at least making an effort to do so, can transform the way you live in Botswana.
I have taught semester-long regular beginners Setswana lessons to children aged 7-12 and adults, with strong emphasis on understanding grammar by breaking it down into “formulas” for how to form tenses and sentences. I teach these and vocabulary through a mix of traditional explanatory lectures, practice exercises and creative games, accompanied by study techniques I have found very useful for learning foreign languages. I have also worked as a trained English tutor, and study linguistics at university, both of which have shaped me to better understand and teach language.

Each class will consist of grammar formulas (eg: basic conjugation in the present tense: linking pronoun [for the human noun class group, for example: ke=I, o=you, o=him/her, re=we, le=you plural, ba=they] + “tla” [as in “will”] + verb), some vocabulary words, spoken or written exercises or games to go through together and longer practice exercises to build independent confidence.
