About Me

Hi, my name is Ana!

In 2018 I graduated from the conservatory of Ghent in performing music, pop singing.
After I also completed my teacher training, I started working as a singing teacher at the Einstein Atheneum in Ghent and at the music academy AMWD Ninove.

In addition, I was able to gain stage experience in recent years by singing more than 200 concerts at home and abroad with the choir Scala & Kolacny Brothers.

I really enjoy passing on my musical knowledge and practical experience to
motivated singers, and thus help shape their musical baggage.

CVT METHOD?

Singing is not that difficult and everybody can learn to sing. CVT divideds the singing techniques into four main subjects. I've been teaching music for a decade now, and I'm still as in love with it as when I started. I love to see my students grow. Together we look for what inspires you, what supports you technically, and find your path in learning how to sing. We'll work on breathing, tone, style, and the mental game that comes with being a confident singer and regular practice. I focus on giving you a positive learning experience; I'm going to empower you by teaching you step by step, so you know what your process is and you can reproduce it yourself at home or at a gig. If you're interested, we can also work on songwriting and/or accompanying yourself on an instrument.

You decide the tempo at which we work, you decide what and what style you want to work on, you decide whether you take classes of 30 or 60 minutes and how regularly you take them. You'll get exercises, sheet music and backing tracks to practice at home. You're allowed to record the class so you can remember everything and hear your progress. If you want to, we can even make a professional recording of you singing. Everything is possible, and everything we do will be in dialogue with each other. No, we don't think that being able to sing is absolutely necessary for actors. Not every actor or actress has the ambition to appear in a musical and not every series or film features singing. Still, vocal coaching is a good idea... whether you want to learn to sing or not!

With your course fee you can participate in any of our courses whenever you want. This way you can not only learn to act, but also taste our courses in debate and presentation techniques (our TV course), communication, singing, improvisation, 'physical acting', lie detection, hypnosis, directing, or writing! You often have to be on set for a long time and then it is important to use your voice properly, so that it does not get tired and you can speak as powerfully after hours of recording as before. I offer private singing lessons in Ghent with piano or guitar accompaniment. Knowledge of music theory isn't necessary; a desire to sing and work is all it takes! We'll focus on warming up, technique, and intention, but the joy of singing is always paramount. I can also teach you how to accompany yourself on guitar or piano while singing.
