Trusted teacher: - Berlin based educator with over 12 years' of experience working as a maths tutor and as a classroom teacher. - I specialise in teaching GCSE Maths as well as GCSE English Literature. - Experience with the IB and with UK school entrance exams. - Experience helping students to transition to the UK system. Particular experience working with young people whose neurodiversity impacts on their learning. I bring a comprehensive understanding of the syllabus requirements, as well as a sensitivity to the needs of students of varying abilities and learning styles. I can offer support alongside the student's schooling, or can design a full homeschooling course. Classes can be online, in person or hybrid. I have a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford and an MFA in Creative Writing from St Andrews. Before becoming a tutor and teacher I worked as a government economics advisor, specialising in Education Policy. I have taught at Brookways School, Sutton; The Sultan's School, Muscat; and worked as supply staff at various schools across London. Oustide of teaching, I am a poet, theatre maker, facilitator and play therapist. This helps me to keep lessons engaging and fun. My teaching begins with a good relationship with the student. I also offer classes in drama and creative writing, to adults as well as young people. Selected Case Studies: O (16) and A (14) 2021-2022 (Maths and English GCSE) I home schooled O for one academic year, working on English and Maths GCSE. O has ASD and needed to work with a tutor with experience adapting to his particular learning needs. I worked with O for 12 hours each week. The role required adaptability to the family's schedules and O's varying ability to engage with the work. I now work with O's sister A on maths. A was 14 when we worked together and I was able to help her to plug gaps in her maths knowledge. Zoe (15-16) 2021-2023 (English GCSE) "Sean has been tutoring my daughter for 1.5 years. He engaged well with Zoe who found him inspiring and fun to work with. Sean is thoughtful and diligent, he understood the challenges she is facing with creative writing and constructed the lessons to suit her needs. He was also willing to change the content of a class and adapt to her requests at times that she was struggling to follow up. We feel very lucky to have had Sean supporting Zoe for her GCSE creative writing and would certainly recommend him to other families." (Athina, mother) Bert (15-16) 2021-2022 (Maths and English GCSE) "I would not hesitate to recommend Sean, who tutored my son Bert throughout his GCSEs to success. Bert, who is dyslexic also struggles with ADHD, he's not a natural student and struggles to engage. Sean showed outstanding compassion, rigour and tenacity around getting Bert on task, giving him context of the syllabus and supporting his learning. Sean is kind, thoughtful and holds a firm bar on what is expected/needed from his students. For Bert this worked super well, fostering a relationship of mutual respect. We enjoyed to have Sean stay with us during various holidays and he was flexible in his plans to accommodate different needs and locations. Sean is a great tutor and a really lovely guy and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him." (Rachel, mother)

Trusted teacher: as offline classes, If you are not that confident related to any concept do not worry about it, I was also a student in middle school and high school like you and I used to struggle a lot with the basic concepts of mathematics and eventually it turned into math's-phobia it was only until a private teacher could help me that I was able to master them. But today I got to know that it was not me who was scared of math it was all about not getting proper support and remedial sessions. I got to know that every type of educational system has some drawbacks and shortcomings which need to be redefined because it makes students vulnerable and develops woe, after going through such conditions we come into play because our task is to focus on individual subjects and kids where it is needed and give that much necessary support to carry out the studies, Initially, I will explain the concepts and ask you to solve some sort of worksheets provided which will help you to get some confidence, fill the gaps and also help you to understand that I am a suitable person for all your learning requirements I always make my class interactive. I take the help of animated videos to explain difficult concepts. Uses various tools like GeoGebra and concept maps to explain the graphs and equations. Teaching over the years, I also have a wide range of collections of books, practice questions and study sources from which I provide students with to practice. Some regular homework helps to understand the subject very well.

I have been now learning French with Olivia for almost 2 months. It's an unique experience not only to study a beautiful language, but also exchange knowledge about cultures, cuisine, traditions, travels and many other things. Olivia is truly passionate about teaching French and has a very open and pleasant personality. She is always eager to help with any questions and stimulate people to start speaking French. I always enjoy my lessons with her! She is also available on Skype, so now worries if you travel a lot ;-)

It’s 45 years since I either studied or spoke Spanish and I am delighted to have met such a personable tutor who I feel will really help me regain the confidence to use the language again. Javier was keen to know what I wanted to get out of the lessons so that he could meet those requirements. He has suggested a structure tailor made to my needs. This is exactly why I didn’t enrol in an evening class as I feel working with an individual tutor will help me improve much more quickly.
