Hi! I’m Emma. I’m currently 20 years old and studying Pharmacy at University. I have experience in teaching a wide range of GCSE & A Level subjects to school aged students. In my A-Levels, which I took in 2021, I achieved an A* in Psychology & Sociology and an A in Government and Politics. I would love to be able to offer my expertise in these subjects and provide regular or one-off tutoring to students!

The only thing you should worry about is having a pen ready :) I like to work with photocopies, I would give a few homework, which we would correct together. I like to work through logic (I would try to make you understand why everything is like that) and not through rules of the language (because that's how it is and you have to learn it) I would like you to understand it instead of studying (like many people do). I would like to offer my help to anyone who wants to learn this language, which is one of the 3 most spoken in the world and is growing in importance every day. English can be a wonderful subject to learn when given the right tools and motivation. It is the basis for many subjects and mastery of English takes time, dedication and a good sense of humor. In my class, we will tackle English from the roots starting with nouns, verbs, pronouns, and subject and verb agreement and advance to more delicate areas of literature in such a way that learning the English language becomes something that you can look forward to!

Being a secondary school teacher in Hong Kong for six years, I have taught more than a thousand students. This experience enables me to diagnose the learning difficulties of students whose mother language is not English. Apart from catering learning diversity, I also have a positive personality which can motivate students to learn. I do enjoy witnessing the growth of students, both academically and mentally.

I've been teaching students in a variety of classes for about two years, and I also worked as a teacher assistant for about 1.5 years at the university where I received my bachelor's degree. I'm currently a master's student at the University of Reading. My areas of expertise are mathematics and physics, and I've always enjoyed sharing my enthusiasm for these disciplines with students. In order to maintain a lively environment in class, as a teacher I constantly work to keep my students completely interested throughout the lesson by engaging them in a variety of activities, games, and ice-breaker sessions. Students benefit greatly from this because they are not bored with the subject and can thoroughly comprehend it with few questions. Teaching Experience: I have been teaching Mathematics and Physics for around 2 years and have received great results as well. During my bachelors I have also worked as a Teacher Assistant for around 2 years where I used to take tutorials and take care of all the assignments related to the course.

Mathematics is a fundamental building block in all fields of life. People often shy away from mathematic because they often think it is too difficult. I personally believe I can get anyone to love mathematics. This class is aimed at giving the student the passion for mathematics and a practical understanding of mathematics.

After achieving A*s in both maths and further maths at A-Level and continuing to pursue a year of higher education mathematics and then onto computer science, I am adept at both mathematics and exam techniques for mathematics exams. I am happy to aid with mathematics learning according to the school curriculum addressing areas which are difficult and assure that test results will improve and hopefully have some fun too! As well as having experience tutoring maths throughout my studies, I have spent the last year as a teacher in a high school teaching English as a foreign language, so have plenty of methods to bring interactive, engaging tutoring!
