About my tutoring: In my tutoring sessions, I will work with students to help them achieve their best grades. A typical lesson will include understanding content, mastering exam technique, and attempting and improving past exam question answers. I believe the best way to learn is in an active and engaging way, so this is how my classes will be, with lots of discussions and active recall to ensure understanding and embedding of knowledge and skill is maximised. About me: I am a current undergraduate student studying biology and chemistry at Cambridge University, so I understand the difficulty and pressure of exams and want to help students prepare and take away some of that worry and stress. I have also had experience teaching science in high school, so have deep-rooted knowledge surrounding science education. I truly understand the best ways to prepare and revise for GCSEs and A Levels, and have straight grade 9s and A*s to prove this. I have over two years experience in tutoring and have real in-classroom experience of teaching science in secondary school, so am equipped to help students achieve their best.

This chemistry tutoring course is designed to help students develop a strong understanding of chemistry, improve their problem-solving skills, and build confidence in their studies. It is suitable for students studying AP Chemistry, GCSE, IGCSE, IB, A-Level, and high school chemistry, whether they need regular academic support or focused preparation for an upcoming exam. Lessons can cover a wide range of chemistry topics, including atomic structure, the periodic table, chemical bonding, chemical equations, stoichiometry, acids and bases, energetics, rates of reaction, equilibrium, organic chemistry, electrochemistry, and other topics based on the student's curriculum and learning needs. Each lesson is personalized to the student's level and goals. I provide clear, step-by-step explanations and guide students through practice questions and problem-solving exercises rather than simply giving them the answers. We can work together on homework, difficult topics, past-paper questions, exam techniques, and areas where the student needs additional practice. For exam preparation, lessons can focus on understanding key concepts, applying knowledge to different types of questions, identifying common mistakes, and developing effective strategies for answering examination questions. Whether you are struggling with a particular chemistry topic, preparing for an examination, or simply want to strengthen your understanding and achieve better results, the lessons will be adapted to your individual needs and learning pace. Online lessons are conducted via webcam in a supportive and interactive environment, allowing students to ask questions freely and work through problems together.
