I hold a Master's degree in Jazz Trumpet and a Master's degree in Education, combining high-level artistic training with a deep understanding of how people learn. I perform weekly across a wide range of musical styles, including jazz, pop, funk, rock, soul, reggae, and african music. I'm the bandleader of Unfinished Business, The Fela Kuti Celebration Band and the Seba Colson Quintet. In addition, I'm bandmember of Lucid Lucia, Hnita Bigband, Nana Osei, Nuff Said, Jazbyssinia and The Very Bigband. Throughout my career, I've shared the stage with renowned artists including John Clayton, Joe Bowie (Defunkt), Chris Potter, Bert Joris, Jef Neve, Gregory Hutchinson, Frank Vaganée, Zap Mama, Manou Gallo, Amir Sulaiman, K.ZIA, Selah Sue, and many others. This real-world experience allows me to connect jazz improvisation with practical musicianship and the skills needed to become a versatile performer.
