I was an in-school tutor during 2016-2017. This was part of a gap year program that enabled me to work in several schools across Greater Manchester. In 2017, I start working as a private tutor after enjoying my time helping students learn in the classroom. With the student, I am able to provide flexibility that means we can work on both short term and long term goals that the student is working towards. Therefore, my approach will defer student to student. I favour starting with the basics and building a solid foundation to progress. However, some students prefer to be exam focused. The lessons are very much student led. Primarily, English Language and Literature at GCSE, Mathematics at GCSE. I also do both for students aged 10-16. I also specialise in resits for Maths and English Language for those over 16. I am Economics and Accounting student at University and can cater to these if of interest. I bring with me a unique combination of academic qualifications, tutoring skills and pair this with in school teaching assistant experience. I've worked in schools 2016-2017 (in school tutor for English and Maths) and Teaching Assistant from 2018-2022 working with SEN students. I have 12 GCSE'S A*-B, ABB at A levels, I graduated with a 2:1 in Economics and Accounting from a Russell group and I've completed my Chartered Accountants exams. This hasn't always been a linear journey and I impart that to my students. Hard work does pay off.

Mathematics as anyone will tell you can be a very fickle subject to learn. I find the the best way to learn Mathematics is to try as many problems as possible and the understanding comes after you work at it. In my lessons I will give you problems relating to the topic you tell me you are having trouble with and ask you to solve them to the best of your ability then when you think you're done we'll go over the solutions and I will explain to the best of my ability the reasons we arrive at these solutions. The more you try the better you'll be at mathematics.

French might be one of the most complex language to learn. Letters that we do not pronounce, irregularities at each corner, one word meaning three different thing for a same pronunciation, sometimes an abstruse syntax... It is rather normal to have difficulties to learn it ! My goal is to make you exercise, to keep you challenged and curious about french culture. Hence, you will mainly practice during this class. Through discussion, memory games, reading or writing. I only assign homework when the student has time to do it. French is meant to be enjoyed! I certainly do not want to overwhelm you. A short recap of the class will be sent to you after each session. This class is designed for any level. From beginners to almost fluent students, the only thing you will need is curiosity and energy. Should you need to pass a test, a certificate, or should you just want to learn French to show off, we will make sure that your aims are achieved. I am Pragya! I graduated in Biochemistry (Honours) from Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi. I further went on to pursue my master’s degree in Medical Biochemistry from Jamia Hamdard, Delhi. I am currently pursuing Doctorate in Biological Sciences from Queen’s University, Belfast, United Kingdom. During all these years I realised that the classes I appreciated most were not necessarily the topics I was most interested in, rather it were the professors who made the classes enjoyable and interesting. All these professors had one thing in common, they were always engaging and comprehensible when teaching and moreover were willing to go an extra mile when asked for additional help and clarification. I will carry the same approach and knowledge to my tutoring sessions and do everything to make learning a pleasant experience. I use lesson plans in which I usually introduce the topic in a fun and creative way, then explicitly teaching the material. The biggest strategy I strictly adhere in my sessions is “Revise the old; learn the new”. Of course, this method can be adjusted based on the subject and student’s individual needs. I currently demonstrate on module for biomedical science and in total have eight years of tutoring experience. I want to benefit the students I work with best of my capabilities therefore, I am open to any additional resources and suggestions from both students and parents. Hello everyone! I'm Giorgia and I come from Torino, Italy. I offer my native knowledge of Italian to any of you, who wants to discover this beautiful language. I teach for all levels, from very beginners to advanced speakers, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I can also help with university exams and school works/assignments. Being a pianist and a piano teacher, I already have lots of experience with teaching and pedagogical approach with the whole range of ages. The lesson is intended to meet the student needs: the focus can be on the grammar, conversation or literature.
