When teaching young children, he makes use of imaginative imagery and games to help explain concepts in a way that children can understand. His methodology is tailored to each individual student, with a focus on providing enjoyment of the individual lessons as much as possible. Hallo, my name is Chloe Slane, and I am currently finishing my degree in college right now studying abroad in Berlin. I have played the viola since I was 8 years old, and started on the violin at 6. I am currently getting both a music degree in Viola Performance and a Philosophy degree, in a 5-year Double Major Program through a school in New York. I will be in Berlin for the whole school year & most of the summer, so if you are interested and cheap & easy lessons for your kids to learn some more, I am happy to help out! I am an advanced level, have been playing for about 12-13 years, and it has become one of my main professions in life, so it is very much a skill of mine. Although I am young, I love helping and teaching kids as well, as it sparks interest in many!

My approach as your violin and/or viola guide might be a little different than you would expect. I want to invite you on a journey of playfulness and free improvisation guided by moments of joy. I don’t believe in right or wrong when it comes to sound as I am convinced that everyone has their own unique sound. In our lessons I want to help you discover how YOU sound, even before we start talking about notes and music pieces. When it comes to playing existing music, we will work with any music that you love, transcribed to your level. I find joy in creating a safe and transformative space for you to explore your creativity and develop a true passion for your instrument.

- The Suzuki method is fun and practical for beginners - We'll work on technique (position, scales, a little music theory) and musicality (I'm open to any musical suggestions): as a composer myself, I don't hesitate to play or improvise accompaniments with my students for a more collaborative experience. - I can teach violin and viola, having studied both - My courses are aimed at beginners, false beginners, and intermediate level students (2nd cycle of conservatory)
