Trusted teacher: I'm a CELTA-qualified native English teacher with extensive teaching experience with children and adults. Progress is rapid when teacher and student connect, so this is, for me, the most important factor in my approach to teaching along with having some fun! Each course is tailor made for the student's needs and goals. What I offer: Weekly Lessons 1-to-1 and small group lessons. You can choose the frequency and duration. These are tailor-made lessons, so you decide which skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) you would like to emphasize and how much homework you do. Summer courses Intensive tailor-made 1-to-1 or small group intensive courses (10 or 15 hours a week) for adults and children. Groups are limited to 3 participants. Conversation Groups During the once weekly meetings you will practice your speaking and listening skills by participating in discussions about articles, TED talks, short stories, or subjects of interest to you and the group. I love the French language and want to help my students not only to understand but more importantly to enjoy this subject so they are confident and well prepared for GSCE exams. This makes it easier for them to engage, ask questions, and feel more confident in our online sessions. I appreciate that every student learns differently so my tutoring sessions are customized to suit individual needs, strengths, and areas for improvement. My approach is to simplify - I break down complex grammar, vocabulary, and exam techniques into easy-to-understand segments, making learning French more approachable and enjoyable. My lessons are designed to be engaging, incorporating a variety of activities that help reinforce learning in a fun, interactive way, from conversational practice to exam-style questions. I’m dedicated to helping students achieve their target grades, with a track record of students improving their confidence and performance in French GCSE exams. My daughter is in year 11 and was struggling with French. This led to her not enjoying the subject anymore. Having started lessons with Julie, my daughter feel up to date with the rest of her class, is enjoying French again and has confidence in revising French by herself with regular sessions with Julie to support. Julie has been a life saviour for my daughter - would highly recommend. Julie has a very natural style which really enables the children to grown their confidence in the subject. Thank you Julie!

We focused the lessons on learning communication, rather than studying the language. We add the things we practice to a document, and he sends it at the end of the class. Even though I started from zero, he's been quite patient and kind. And by now, zero-stress with grammar/theory. After a month, I am starting to be able to have a simple conversation at a store without barely help of another language, and I am taking a liking of Dutch.

Going back to learning Japanese with Ayumi was the right choice. She caters to my wants and needs as a student, is dedicated in bringing new information and making sure I am learning correctly.
